Many of us complain of stereotyping because of our color or accent but we also don’t show any tolerance towardsa other people, such as gays and lesbian,, drug addicts, people with other religions. Every intolerance is intolerance. Simple as that

Fri, 10 Dec 2010 20:49:01 +0000http://www.talkafrique.com/?p=4319#comment-283There is no doubt that what makes the world tick is plurality of ideas. This much is reinforced in Soyinka’s “Samarkand and the other Markets I Have Known”. It then baffles me to see people become unnecessarily intolerant of other people’s ideas knowing full well that ideas actually rule the world. I can therefore not agree less with your submissions.

We have our own convictions but that does not mean that we cannot tolerate those who hold the oppiste view. That is how a 21century society is supposed to exist.
