G = GodConnection: #SEED# = Lots of them

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 25th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection#. Now let’s consider a few things under the “How” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. how do we plant seeds? To get a good understanding of this — let’s look at the “Parable of the Sower /Four soils” – a story that Jesus told the people in the book of Matthew 13 — Verse 3 says: He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some SEEDS (NLT)

The b part of the scripture says the Verse 3 says: the farmer planted some seeds — I guess he must have walked across the field and threw handfuls of seed from the huge amount of seed packed in a large bad slung across his shoulder. The farmer planted seeds NOT just 1, 2 or 3 seeds but lots of seeds.

The Word of the lord coming to is today is that – just like a farmer for a the farming season by gathering a lot of seeds in his bag ready for sowing so also we must take time to gather “lots” of scriptures in our heart. We must hide the Word of God in our heart. We must seek to know the Word which relates to different areas of life. We must gather a lot of positive thinking in our heart. We must think on those things that Paul highlighted in the book of Philippians 4:8

As we continue in this season – let take time to study and allow the Word of God to dwell in our heart richly so that we will have enough of the seed of the Word in us and to share with others.

Enjoy your gathering time!

Thank God for today, Friday the 22nd Day of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for God will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season in Jesus name. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – #GodConnection# as it relates to us delighting in God. We said we need to cultivate our heart so that the seed of the word will be able to germinate in our life — and we will be able to bring forth good and ripe fruit

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this song “Create in me a clean heart” by Donnie McClurkin

G = GodConnection: #SEED# – Cultivate the soil

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 21st of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection#. Another thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. planting seeds is – what to do to cultivate the soil?

Before a farmer begins to plant the seeds in the ground, he usually prepares the soil – by tilling/break up the soil using some equipment, adding some fertilizer and watering. The scripture in the book of Hebrews 3:7-8 says –That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – as a farmer takes time to cultivate the soil before planting the seeds – we also must take time to prepare our heart for the Word. We need to cultivate our heart by spending time in worship & prayer. We need to cultivate our heart by getting rid of every weights that so easily besets us. We need to cultivate our heart by being still in the presence of God. We need to cultivate our heart by aligning our thought with the way of God. We need to cultivate our heart by being at peace with all men. We need to cultivate our heart by emptying ourselves of everything that can hinder us from close fellowship with God. We need to cultivate our heart by stirring up the gift of love that has been put in our heart by the Holy Spirit.  We need to cultivate our heart by taking time to read, study, meditate on the Word of God.

As we continue in this new day – May God grant us the grace we need to cultivate our heart so that our life will be able to bring forth good and ripe fruit.

Go ahead and start the #heartcultivation# today!!

G = GodConnection: #SEED# – The soil…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 20th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain. Another thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. planting seeds is – What kind of soil do we need to have in order to plant a particular type of seed?

Just like a farmer tends to look for a fertile ground to plant the seeds so also we should endeavor plant the seed of the Word into our faith-filled heart. As the Word says in the book of Ezekiel 36 verses 26 – 27 — I will give you a NEW HEART and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your HEART OF STONE and give you a HEART OF FLESH. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. (NIV)

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – The kind of soil i.e. the state of the heart of the person receiving the Word is very important. We must have a heart that is fit for receiving the “good seed” of the Word. We must have a heart that is willing to embrace the word. We must have a heart that is full of faith. We must develop a tender and responsive heart. We must have a heart that is not “carnal” but a  “spiritual”. We must have a heart that is God-willed and not self-willed. We must have a humble heart that will be eager to hear and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit of God. We must develop a new appetites, new passions for the things of the Kingdom. We must have a heart that that can feel love to God and to all men. We must have a heart that can be a proper habitation for the living God. We must have a heart of flesh and not of stone.

As we continue in this season – let our prayer be the prayer of the Psalmist (in Psa. 51:10) — Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. May the Lord create in us a new heart – new spirit so that we can remain connected with God all the days of our life.

G =GodConnection: #SEED# – The kind

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 19th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We are still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain.

The 1st thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEEDi.e. planting seeds is – What kind of seed? What should happen to the seed before it is planted? Let’s look at the scripture in the book of Genesis 1: 12 — The earth produced plants with grain for seeds and trees that made fruits with seeds in them. Each seed grew its own kind of plant. God saw that all this was good (NCV) —   The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed according to their own kinds and trees bearing fruit in which was their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good (suitable, admirable) and He approved it (AMPL)

The farmer need to know the kind of seed he’ll be planting – whether it’s a corn, mango or tomato seed. He also needs to check that the seed is mature enough to be planted and has not been damaged by insects. He then need to believe that the the seed will be viable after it is planted.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that: We need to consider the “kind of seed”… And as a farmer takes time to check the seeds before he plants so also we need to check the Word of God… examine the Word on a daily basis. We need to know the kind of Word we are planting…. We need to know the appropriate words to declare to that situation. We need to believe the Word…. We need to believe that the Word we speak will bring forth what it has been sent to do. We must study & meditate the Word on a daily basis so that we can get the word that is specific to our needs.

My prayer as we continue in this season is that – we will receive the grace to study the Word and the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to see and give us a heart to understand the Word so that we can start to plant the right seed of the Word into our situation.

Enjoy your planting season!!

Loving Regards,

G – GodConnection – #SEED# – The Word

Thank God for today, Monday, the 18th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain. Another aspect that I want us to consider under this series is the “SEED”. In agricultural terms – without a seed there can’t be production of fruits and without fruits there can’t be seeds to be planted. This is explained by the lifecycle of a seed plant outlined here: {Seed plant – Germinating seed – Mature plant with flowers (with germinated pollen grain on it’s stigma) – Ripe Fruit – with seeds}

Relating this to the scripture in the book of John 12: 24 which says : “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. We can say that for us to produce ripe/good fruits that will remain in our life — there must be SEED(s), which is the Word of God. And this seed(s) i.e. Word of God must be planted into the ground (i.e. the soil of our heart) for it to produce fruits (i.e. fruitful life with godly character).

For the next couple of weeks – we will try and look at the lifestyle of a SEED as it relates to our purpose as children of God (Fruitful life) — under the following categories:

What we need to do in order to plant a seed? How we plant a seed? Where we plant a seed? When we plant a seed? Why we plant a seed?

My prayer is that as we take time to understand the SEED in relation to our connection with God – may our heart desires be granted unto us this season in Jesus name. Amen!!

Have a fruit-full season!

Loving regards,

Temidayo

HowExcellentIsUrName!!Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 15th Day of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for God will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season in Jesus name. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said our sole purpose in life is to bear good & ripe fruit and we must stay connected in order to be able to bear these kind of fruits that will remain.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this song “Excellent” by Martha Munizzi let’s rejoice and be glad  because… Everything belongs to God…All the earth is the Lords…. All power in heaven and on earth belongs to our God.

G = GodConnection – Quality of a Rotten Fruit

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 13th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said our sole purpose in life is to produce fruit – to bear good/ripe fruits of our life that will remain as we stay connected to God. Let’s look at another scripture in 2 Peter 1 vs. 5-8 which talks about the qualities of a Ripe Fruit

5 Because you have these blessings, do your best to add these things to your lives: to your FAITH, add GOODNESS; and to your GOODNESS, add KNOWLEDGE;6 and to your KNOWLEDGE, add SELF-CONTROL; and to your SELF-CONTROL, add PATIENCE; and to your PATIENCE, add SERVICE FOR GOD;7 and to your SERVICE FOR GOD, add KINDNESS for your brothers and sisters in Christ; and to this KINDNESS add LOVE.8 If all these things are in you and are growing, they will help you to be useful and productive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NLT)

The attributes highlighted in this scripture are the qualities expected from a life that is connected to God and bearing ripe and good fruits.

So my dear!  As we continue to seek to delight in God – We are to compliment our faith in God with godly & good character. We are to have a desire to increase in our spiritual understanding and service to God. We are to be disciplined and be steadfast in doing what is right. We are to exhibit moral excellence. We are to voluntarily abstain from all pleasure which does not lead to God. We are to be patient and be friendly with people around us. We show love to those we are connected to – family, work, church etc.

Go ahead and share the qualities of your “ripe fruit” with someone 2day!!

G = GodConnection – Fruit: RipeOrRotten‏?

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Monday the 11th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2. Last week we started looking at the fact that our sole purpose in life is to produce fruit – to bear fruits of our life that will remain as we stay connected to God. Another aspect of God connection in relation to fruitfulness we will consider today is the state of the fruits — RipeOrRotten?. The scripture in the book of Matthew Chapter 3:10 says: What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire. (MSG) —  The ax is now ready to cut down the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire (NCV)

Just like a ripe fruit attracts those around it so also the good fruit our life produces will attract the world around us and they will desire to know the One who has nurtured us to produces this kind of fruit. In the same way that a fruit that has fallen from a tree and been on the ground for some days and starts to rot and breeds flies/maggot – so also is a life that produces bad fruit is unattractive to the world around them.

My dear! The Word/question coming to us today is that – Is the fruit of our life ripe or rotten? Are we producing good or bad fruit? Is the fruit of our life attracting people to the Kingdom of God? Is our character drawing people to want to know God? Are we living a life that glorifies God? Can people see the life of God in us? Is our lifestyle able to witness for Christ?

As we continue in this season – let’s remind ourselves that you & I are the epistle that people of the world read on a daily basis- so let’s seek to produce good/ripe fruit that will attract those around us to the Kingdom of God.

Go ahead and share your fruit 2day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said our sole purpose in life is to bear fruit and we must stay connected in order to be able to bear the fruits that will remain.

My dear! as we continue in this new month of July — let make a conscious effort to bear fruit of our life…to bear fruits that will remain.

Have a fruit-_full weekend!

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = GodConnection – What kind of Fruit?

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday the 7th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. (NLT)  We said our sole purpose in life is to bear fruit and we must stay connected in order to be able to bear the fruits that will remain. Thinking about this – the question that comes to mind is: What kind of fruit? What kind of fruits are we meant to bear?

People do not judge a tree by its leaves, or bark, or flowers, but by the fruit which it bears. It is by the fruit a tree produces that one is able to know what kind of tree it is e.g. when we see bunch of grapes on a branch we definitely know that the tree must be grapevine tree. So also it is by the fruit of our lives that the world will know whether we are a branch of the True vine or not. It is the fruit of our lives that show if we are “really” abiding in the God and His Word abiding in us. It is the fruit we bear that will show how much connection we have with God and the things of the Kingdom.

My dear! we must bear the fruit of our life — We must bear fruit of a life that is lived in obedience to the Lord. We must bear fruit of a life that is filled and yielded to the Holy Spirit. We must bear fruit of a life that glorifies God. We must bear the fruit of a life that believes and acts on the Word. We must bear the fruit of a life that leads to Christ-like character. We must bear the fruit of a life that seeks 1st the Kingdom of God and all its righteousness. We must bear the fruit of a life that is pleasing to God.

My dear! As we go continue in this season — let’s ask ourselves: What kind of fruit am I producing? May God help us as we seek to stay connected so that we can “bear the fruits” that will remain.

Have a fruit-full day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T….GodConnection – Our specific role…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 6th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2. We said everyone involved in a relationship have specific roles to fulfill –let’s look further at this – “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
Agricultural research shows that the wood of a vine is absolutely useless for any real purpose – it cannot be used to make tools or furniture because it is too twisted, and in the Old Testament it was even excluded from being used to fuel the fires for the sacrifices in the Temple. Its sole purpose seems to be to live and support the bearing of fruit. The branches of a vine exists for one specific purpose only – “to produce fruit”

In the same way, we must realize that as Christians we exist for no other purpose than to produce fruit for God. This might seem a little harsh, but it really strikes at the heart of the purpose for life. Life is not intended to be about our own satisfaction, for when we focus on that goal it will always elude us. The only way to have satisfaction is to fulfill the purpose for which God saved us and Christ chose us.  If our lives as Christians or our attitude to Church becomes more about our own desires or needs than it is about bearing fruit for God then we will become unfulfilled and will not be pleasing to God.

My dear!  As we continue in this new month of July – let’s be reminded that our role is to “bear fruits”. So let’s make a conscious effort to ensure that we bear “good” fruits on a daily basis. Let’s make sure we bear spiritual fruits that will remain. Let’s ensure that we manifest the fruit of the Spirit every moment of our life. Let’s make sure we bear fruit of good works/character.

Enjoy your fruit-bearing season!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T….GodConnection – The roles….

Hey dear,.

Thank God for today, Tuesday the 5th July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. As we continue to understand God connection: what? why? when? how? – let’s look further at John 15:1-2:

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. This scripture is the perfect view of the connection between God and the church. Christ is the True vine (head of the Church). The True vine (Christ) is cared for and kept by the gardener, Almighty God Himself. Every branch in the vine is each individual Christian grafted in by the gardener. The same life which is given by the gardener flows through the vine and into the branches. Every branch must be a living, fruit-bearing one. If it bears fruit it will be kept in the vine; if it does not bear fruit it will be taken away.

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – For there to be God connection, there are roles to be fulfilled. For there to be an effective relationship everyone involved must play their role.

Role of the Gardener – To care for True Vine and give it every necessary treatment (e.g. pruning the branches) to cause it to bring forth much fruit.

Role of the True Vine -To sustain the branches and provide the necessary support and nourishment they need for continuous growth.

Role of the Branches – To bear fruit… to bear much fruit.. to bear fruit that will remain.

As we continue in this new month – May we receive the grace we need to fulfill our purpose in life — may we bear fruit in every area of our life as we stay connected to God.

Have a fruitful July….

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Free indeed….

Hey Dear: Happy Independence day!!

Thank God for today, Monday the 4th July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We have been saying, we must stay connected to the True vine by abiding in Word… allowing the Word to abide in us as stated in John 15 vs. 7.

As we celebrate independence day – let’s link this with the scripture in the book of John 8:36, which says – So if the Son liberates you [sets you free], then you are really and unquestionably free.

My dear! The Word coming to us today (Independence day) is that  – as we abide in God and we really allow the Word to abide in us — then we are free indeed. We are free by the truth of the Word we know and believe. We are free by the power of the Word of God that lives in us. We are free by the resurrection power of God. We are free by the truth of the Word of God we know. We are set free by the Word we believe & confess with our mouth.

As we continue in this season – let’s take time to thank God for the saving grace and the power of the Word which has made us free indeed…

Enjoy your freedom in Christ… have a victorious day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

AbidewithMe!!

Hey TGIFriday!! Happy New Month!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 1st Day of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for God will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest in Jesus name. Praise God…Hallelujah!

As July is the 7th month of the year and 7 is the number of perfection. Let’s declare this season as the season of “perfection and rest” — a season where God will PERFECT all that concerns us and bring us to our place of REST in Jesus name. Amen!!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We must abide in God and let His word abide with us in order to be able to see the fulfillment of the divine purpose of God in our life.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this hymn “Abide with me”   let’s take time to invite the Tri-une God to abide with us through all the evil days & storms of life. Let’s ask the help of the helpless to abide with us through all those trials & tribulations.

My dear! as we go into this new month of July — let make a conscious effort to really abide in God  and allow the Word to transform us on a daily basis.

Welcome to your season of perfection and rest!!  Have a fruitful month!

God bless,

God connection – How? = “Really” abide…

Hey Dear,

Thank God for Thursday, the 30th… the last day of the month of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, we said we must stay connected to the True vine by abiding in Word… allowing the Word to abide in us. Another version John 15 vs. 7 says: If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you (AMPL)

“If you live in Me {abide vitally united to me}” means: To be wholly occupied with Jesus. To sink the roots of our faith, love and obedience deep down into Him. To come out of every other place and be joined with Jesus Christ our Lord. To give up everything for the privilege of being a part of the body of Christ. To allow Christ to be the first and our all. To be totally occupied with Christ!

My dear! Some thoughts coming to mind as we continue meditating on this scripture – Are we “really” connected with the Trinity? Are we “really” abiding in the Word? Are we “really” remaining in the Lord? Are we “really” living according to God’s precepts? Are we “really” totally committed to the things of the Kingdom of God? Is our character/lifestyle “really”  being transformed by the Word? Are we “really” totally dependent on the True Vine as the branch depends on the tree?

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – How? #1

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 28th day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, God connection must be an every moment thing i.e. We must “remain in” the True vine. We must stay connected to the Trinity every day of our life. Another question we might want to ask is: God connection: How?…how can I remain constant in the True Vine?

To answer this question let’s look at the scripture in the book of John 15:7 –  If you remain in me and my WORDs remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you (NIV). In this scripture, Jesus tells us what it takes to remain in Him is “Remaining in His Word”

My dear! The Word of God coming to us today is that: for us to have a God connection – we must remain in the Word!

The Word of God is powerful and alive sharper than any 2 edged sword so we cannot treat it like other words that go in one ear and out the other. But we must allow the Word of God to guide  our heart. This means we must have regular quiet time which should include Bible Study time. We must take time to confess the Word with every chance we have. We must share the Word with others. We must follow the instructions laid out in the Word. We must hide the Word of God in our heart so that we will not walk in the flesh.

As we continue in this season — let’s make a conscious effort to stay connected because when we do not remain in the Word we start to drift away.

Have a Word-filled day & week!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – When?

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 27th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Let’s continue with God connection: When? when do I need to be connected to the True Vine? To understand and answer this question, let’s look at what the scripture in John 15:4 says –

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (NIV)

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in me. (NCV)

Jesus is telling the disciples in this scripture that they must “remain in” Him and stay connected if they want to continue to be fruitful. That if the disciples choose to remain in Him, He (the True Vine) will help to maintain their fruitfulness. Just like a branch of a tree that has been laying on the ground for weeks cannot continue to grow or stay strong on its own so also can a person who doesn’t ‘remain in” the True Vine continue to function effectively.

To “remain in” means to – stay connected, stay joined, abide, dwell, continue to be, persist, reside, wait, tarry, rest, endure etc.

So to answer the question God connection: When? – when do I need to be connected to the True Vine? Our God connection must be an every moment thing i.e. we must stay connected to God 24-7. We must remain in the presence of the King of kings. We must maintain our relationship with God on a daily basis. We must stay connected to the One who is able to deliver in the good and the bad times. We must maintain a constant fellowship with God in all we do. We must stay connected to God in and out of season. We must seek to know God more on a daily basis.

My dear! As we continue in this season – let’s remind ourselves that our God connection is 24:7 – not something we do today and forget about. But it’s a constant walk to get closer to the One is able to help us maintain our life. Remain in the Him this new day… week… month!

Enjoy your God connection!

Thank God for today, Friday the 24th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We need to stay connected to God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) in order for us to be fruitful and be able to see the fulfillment of the divine purpose of God in our life.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this song “Let your living water flow”  –[youtuberrBa0Dw0N3M]and let’s sing to: “The Father, The Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit”.

My dear! as we go into this weekend – let’s invite the presence of the God in to our life afresh. Let’s cast all our cares and burdens unto the Lord. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to move over that situation. Let’s ask for the manifestation of the power of God in all that we lay our hands upon.

Have a spirit-filled weekend!

God bless,

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – Why? #2

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 23rd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, we looked at the question – God connection: Why? i.e. why do I need this kind of connection… a connection to the True Vine? Let’s take a look at this again today by linking the 2 scriptures below:

Genesis 1:28 – Then God blessed them and said, “Be FRUITFUL and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it… (NLT)

John 15: 5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will BEAR MUCH FRUIT apart from me you can do nothing. (NIV)

The Word coming to us from these 2 scriptures is that: We must be connected to the God in order for us to be fruitful (as God intended for us at creation)… then we must stay connected to God  in order for us to continue to bear more fruit (as God desires for His children).

So my dear! We need to have God connection so that we experience fruitfulness in every area of our life. We must be connected in order for us to manifest the fruit and gift of the Spirit. We must be connected to the King of kings, so that our lines will fall unto us in pleasant places. We must stay connected to the Creator of the whole earth, so that the cattle on a thousand hills can be ours. We must be connected to the One in who everything consists in order for us have everything that pertains to life and godliness. We must stay connected to the One who gives the ability to make wealth so that we can get to our wealthy place. We must be connected to Jehovah –Shalom, so that we can get to our place of rest. We must stay connected to the Tri-une God so that the promises of the Lord which makes rich & adds no sorrow will be ours.

My dear! We got to be connected and continue to dwell in the presence of God so we can see the fulfillment of the plan and purpose of God in our life.

Have a wonderful day!

Loving Regards,

Temiday

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – God connection: Why? #1

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 22nd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said that we are expected to have a God connection for us to be able to delight in God. We must be connected to the Vine in order for our desires to be granted unto us. The question someone might want to ask is: God connection: Why? why do I need this kind of connection?… why do I need to be connected to the True Vine? To answer this question – let’s look at John 15 vs. 5, which says: “I am the Vine; you are the branches….(AMPL)

The dictionary defines the vine as a woody plant that depends on an erect substrate to grow on. It derives its support from climbing or creeping along a surface.

From this definition – we can say that Jesus, the True Vine got all the support he needed (while on earth) from God who is the vinedresser. And we (being a branch in the True Vine) must get our support from the True Vine.

So my dear! Just like a tree branch needs a vine to survive – so also you and I (being a branch in the True Vine) need the Trinity to make it through life. We need a God connection because we can’t exist on our own.  We need to be connected because we need the source of life in order to live a fulfilled life. We need to be connected because we need the power of God to strengthen us in those difficult times. We need to be connected because we need the support and guidance of the Holy Spirit every new day. We need to be connected because we won’t survive the storm of life without God in our ship. We need to be connected because there is divine protection with the Vinedresser. We must be connected because everything we need for life and godliness is in the True Vine.

As we continue in this season — let’s endeavor to develop a close link/connection with the Vine dresser and True Vine – the Trinity!!

Enjoy this divine connection!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – What?

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 21st Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Yesterday, we started looking at the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Let’s continue with God connection: What? as we look at what the scripture says in the Book of John 15 vs. 1 & 2a:  I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vine dresser. Any branch in me that does not bear fruit…(AMPL)

Jesus was talking to the disciples in this verse that He is the True Vine, and that God the Father is the Vine dresser and the disciples are the branches.
Interpreting this scripture in the light of this understanding…. we will say that Jesus our Lord and Savior is the Vine (plant) in the vineyard. We (you and I) are the branches on the Vine. God our Heavenly Father is the one that tends and nurtures the vineyard where the Vine is growing.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that –  There is a direct connection that must exist between us – the Vine and the Vine dresser. We are to be connected to the Tri-une God. We are expected to have a connection with our Heavenly Father – the creator of the universe. We are expected to have a connection with our Savior Jesus Christ. We are expected to have a connection with the Holy Spirit – Spirit of truth  & our comforter.

Basically, God connection is that link that must exist between us and the Trinity. It is that relationship we must have with the lover of our soul. It’s that constant contact we must have with our Redeemer. God connection is the kingdom walk we need to continue develop on a daily basis

So my dear! for us to delight in God and see our desires granted unto us — we must be divinely connected to God. May the grace to seek this “God connection” be released unto us in Jesus Name. Amen!

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = “God connection”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 20th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

As we been saying “connections” i.e. people we are connected to really does matter. The people we spend time with have a part to play in whether we fulfill the divine plan of God for our life. The people we allow in our circle of friends have a big role to play in our life.

For the next couple of weeks, let’s go a step further looking at “connections” as we start with the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T{God connection}: to understand delight in relation to our “connection with God”. We will look at topics such as: What does it mean to be connected? Why do we need to be connected? When do we need to be connected? How can we be connected? Who do we need to be connected to? Example of people in the bible who were connected… etcetera

My dear! As we start this series – let’s meditate on the psalm of David, titled: “Wishing to Be Near God” (Chap 63 vs. 1 to 8), which he wrote when he was in the desert of Judah

1 God, you are my God. I search for you. I thirst for you like someone in a dry, empty land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the Temple and have seen your strength and glory. 3 Because your love is better than life,      I will praise you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live. I will lift up my hands in prayer to your name. 5 I will be content as if I had eaten the best foods. My lips will sing, and my mouth will praise you. 6 I remember you while I’m lying in bed; I think about you through the night. 7 You are my help. Because of your protection, I sing. 8 I stay close to you; you support me with your right hand (NCV)

This scripture gives a vivid description of David’s consuming passion for His Lord. David described the kind of thirsting and yearning he has for the Lord as someone in a dry and empty desert who needs water. And every other pursuit in his life is nothing when compared to the fulfillment of an intimate relationship with God.

My dear! The truth of the Word coming to us this new day is that: We need “God connection” in our life!.. we need to be connected to God. We will never experience satisfaction until we discover the joy of devotion to the only One who can fill our emptiness. We will never be content in life until our spirit, soul & body is aligned with God (Tri-une God) and the things of the Kingdom.

As we continue with this series –  My prayer is that we will take time to develop our “God connection” even as we develop our “people connections”.

Enjoy this divine connection season!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 17th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. The scripture in the book of James 2:33 comes to mind… where Abraham was referred to as God’s friend because He believed God..

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of the song: “I am a friend of God” by Israel Houghton –  and take time to meditate on the scripture in the book of  John 15:15 which says: I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now I am calling you my FRIENDS….

My dear! as we go into this weekend – let’s rejoice and be glad knowing that: God is mind-ful of us… God hears us when we call… God is thinking of us… God loves us… God calls us friends!!

Go ahead and declare: IAmAFriendOfGod!! and enjoy a blessed and highly favored weekend!

God bless,

Under the influence – Company of elders..

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 16th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}— looking at the biblical view of a company. Another scripture is Psalms 107:32, which says: Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the COMPANY of the ELDERS. Barnes Notes Bible Commentary on the phrase – “Company of elders” says: The old men; the men eminent for experience and wisdom. Those who have been appointed to preside over the assemblies for worship, and to direct the devotions of the people because of their experience.

Another company that the bible recognizes is the “company of elders”…this doesn’t necessarily mean the old people. But refers to the company of those with great wisdom and knowledge. The company of those who have had numerous experiences in life. The company of those that have great knowledge of some specific areas of life.

So my dear! the Word to us today is that – we must seek the company of people that have more knowledge & experience in a particular area than we do. We must seek the company of those can influence and motivate us to fulfill the divine purpose of God.

For example, if we want to start a business, we must seek the company of someone who we know is successful in this area. If we want a blissful marriage relationship, we must seek the company of those who we can see have a successful marriage. If we desire a better spiritual walk, we must seek company of a more matured person in faith or attend a church where we know there are opportunities to grow in the things of the kingdom. If we want to have “core” (close) friends then, we must seek company of those who exhibit the characteristics of a good friend.

May God help us as we seek the right kind of company to influence us on this journey of life. May the company we have help us as we seek to fulfill the divine plan & purpose of God for our life this year in Jesus name.. Amen!

Have a good day/time with your ‘company of elders!

Under the influence – Company of the righteous..

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 15th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence} – yesterday, we started looking at biblical view of  “company”. Another scripture is Psalms 14:5, which says: 5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. (NIV). The here is saying: God is in the midst of those who are righteous. God’s gracious presence with them to help them in their weaknesses. God is with the righteous to guide them against their enemies: and fills their enemies with dread and terror. As we think about the company of righteous people, let’s remember that our righteousness (i.e. our right standing) is by faith in Christ Jesus our Savior.

Another company that is recognized in the bible is the: “Company of the righteous”… the company of those that are in right standing with God. The company of those who strive to do and live right. The company of those who live an uncompromising life. The company of those who obey God. The company of those who strive to live a holy life. The company of good people. The company of those who are striving to please God with their life.

So my dear! as we seek to delight in God — let’s seek to be in the company of the righteous — those that will influence others with their godly lifestyle.

Let’s continue this new day by thinking of ways we can influence those around us by our lifestyle.

Enjoy an influential day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – Company of the great…

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 14th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been taking about I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, company & circle of friends are very important to our success in life. For the next couple of day, I want us to take this a step further and look at the biblical view of a “company”. Psalm 68:11 says – The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it (NKJV). The scripture here is saying: Great and blessed is the company of those who proclaim the Word that God has spoken.

So my dear! the first company of people that is recognized in the scripture is the “Company of those who take time to influence others… by proclaiming the Word of God. The company of those who will take time to share the good news of the gospel with others. The company of those who will take time to share their testimony with others. The company of those who will declare the goodness of the Lord. The company of those that will take time to tell of the miraculous power of God. The company of those who will take time to tell someone how God saved them.

My prayer today is that as we seek to delight and please God with life – May we seek to be in the company of the “great” ones: those who influence other by taking time to proclaim the Word of God on a regular basis .

As we go into this new day, let’s make the effort to share our story… the testimony of what has done with someone.

Enjoy a great testimony day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – Circle of friends

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 13th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. Recently, I came across a note in the “Quest Study Bible (fully revised) NIV on Proverbs 17:17 –  A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity – titled: How can I know who my friends are?

One way is a test of loyalty. A genuine friend loves us through the best and the worst times. In fact, a friend’s true colors are revealed when you go through unusually difficult or painful circumstances. According to the Proverbs it’s preferable to have one or two close, intimate companions than a host of superficial acquaintances. The person who maintains only surface relationships with a wide number of people may eventually face a ruin for lack of good advice when it is really needed (18:24).

True friends also wound us. They are willing to tell us the hard truth even when it hurts. We can trust their honest feedback, but an enemy only multiplies kisses (27:6). Beware of someone who does not have the courage to confront you when you need it.

Some people make poor friends – those who will entice you to join them in crime, for example (1:10-19). Drunkards and gluttons are also on the list of people to avoid (23:20-21). Less dangerous, but none the less similarly unreliable, are those drawn to us because of our material possessions or wealth. When financial hardship strikes, they disappear (19:4,7). Also gossips should be shunned. Their habit of sharing inappropriate and private matters inevitably separates close friends (16:28)….(Note: all referenced verses are in the Proverbs )

So my dear! As we continue to seek to delight in God — Let’s look at our circle of friends… people we have around us and evaluate the kind of influence we are having on each other.

Enjoy a “friend-ly” day & week!

Loving Regards,

Temi

I smile!!

Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 10th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

As we continue to D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence} and wait on God for our heart desires to be granted – let’s change our facial expression and smileJ, as Job says in Job 9:27…If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile – Even if I say, ‘I’ll put all this behind me, I’ll look on the bright side and force a smile – If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad countenance, and be of good cheer and brighten up –  Even though I say, ‘I will forget my complaint; I will change the look on my face and smile

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of the song: “I smile” by Kirk Franklin –

My dear! as we go into this weekend – Let’s smile… in spite of how we feel. Let’s smile … in spite of what the enemy is throwing at us. Let’s smile… no matter how things look around us. Let’s smile… because it’s a new day, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it.

Go ahead and smile…JJJ!!!

Enjoy a blessed and highly favored weekend!

Under the influence – “Core”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 9th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah! We have been taking about I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. Today let’s continue this series by evaluating some characteristics of a good friend using the scripture in the book of John 15: 12-17: This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father. “You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you. “But remember the root command: Love one another!! (MSG)The characteristics of a good friend identified in this scripture are listed below– ·         Love (vs.12): Love each other at equal level. Love is reciprocal. Love at all times.

·         Sacrifice (vs13): Sacrifice for each other. Serve each other at the same level. Give up your time & resources.

·         Obedience (vs14): Obey each other… try to please and make each other happy by doing what we say.

·         Equality (vs15): On the same level…same place of maturity. Able to see things same way…can agree to disagree.

·         Trust (vs16): Trust each other…knows each other’s heart/motives. Shares everything. Able to speak up for each other…can vouch for each other.

Note: These xteristics of good friends are extracted from the message titled “In Us” by Pastor Andy Thompson – www.wocconline.org

My dear! let’s take time to reflect on these characteristics and examine our circle of friends and identify who our core friends are. Also, let’s examine ourselves to see if we are really a “core” friend to someone or just part of the number.

As we continue in this season — may God grant us the grace we need to know who our true friends are and for us to also seek to be a true friend to someone — as the bible says: A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Prov. 18;24)

Remember to spend time with your “core” today…J!

Under the influence – “Company”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 8th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah

Continuing with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –{Influence in relation to delighting in God}. Yesterday we took some time to ask ourselves some questions about our contacts – how we need to think about the contacts we have in our social network and what kind of influence we have on each other.

Still thinking about this, the scripture in the book of 1 Corinthians 15:33 comes to mind: Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character. The scripture is saying: Evil companionship /association/communion & bad friends will eventually corrupt good character/manners/morals/habits.

A Bible commentary explains this verse using this proverb:There were two dry logs of wood, and one green log; but the dry logs burnt up the green log” which means: he who frequents the company of bad or corrupt men will soon be as they are. He may be sound in the faith, and have the life and power of godliness, and at first frequent their company only for the sake of their pleasing conversation, or their literary accomplishments: and he may think his faith proof against their infidelity; but he will soon find, by means of their glozing speeches, his faith weakened; and when once he gets under the empire of doubt, unbelief will soon prevail; his bad company will corrupt his morals; and the two dry logs will soon burn up the green one.

The Word coming to us today is that under the influence… the company we keep is very important. The people we hang out with will either “make or mare” us. The company we keep is instrumental to how much we will achieve in life. The company we keep can affect how faithfully we serve God. As someone once said: “If you drop a white glove in the mud…the mud doesn’t become ‘glovey’…the glove becomes muddy”.

So my dear! As we continue in this new day — let’s be very conscious of the company we keep cos it’s just a matter of time before a good character is corrupted with the “virus” of bad company/spiritual compromise.

Have a gr8 day and enjoy ur gud company!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – “Contacts”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 7th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah

Continuing with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – yesterday we looked at the 1st chapter of the book of Luke 1..verses 39 to 45 –and we said under the influence… there must be good connection. That we must understand the importance of good connections. We must understand that making the right kind of connections can help us achieve more in life. With this in mind — I thought about all the different social networking and instant messaging systems we have around us. The list is unending – but will mention a few of the common ones: Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, hi5, MyYearBook, BlackBerry Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp, Yahoo! 360, Windows Live, Google, Gmail, Flickr, ReverbNation, YouTube… (feel free to add your other favs).

As we go through this list, I want us to ask ourselves some questions: Who are my contacts? Who are the people in my network of friends? Who are the people I communicate with on a daily basis? Then let’s ask ourselves: Are my contacts contributing to me? Are my contacts bringing something good out of me? Is the time spent with my contacts worth it? Finally, let’s ask ourselves: Am I contributing in any way to my contacts? Is my conversation helping to make a difference in their life? Am I having a positive influence on my contacts?

As we take time to think through these questions and others that might come to mind — I pray that the Holy Spirit will grant us the grace to understand those connections & contacts that we need to keep and the wisdom to deal with those that we know are not worth the resource & time we give to this.

My dear! I know this is personal… so I believe as we continue under the influence of the Holy Spirit – He will guides everyone of us and we will make those necessary connections and keep the right contacts.

Have a great networking day!!

Under the influence – “Connection”

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday the 6th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Now let’s continue with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – by looking further at the story of Mary, Elizabeth & Zechariah in the 1st chapter of the book of Luke. In verses 39 to 45: the bible gives account of the visit Mary made to Elizabeth’s home.. after she was told by the angel that Elizabeth whom the people called barren was also pregnant as nothing is impossible with God. So she rushed off to Elizabeth’s house to congratulate her about this good news. But I also think the visit was with the intention of establishing a connection with her because of what the Holy Spirit had in the preceding verses about Elizabeth’s miraculous pregnancy. Mary went over to make a connection with someone else whom the bible says was pregnant by the supernatural power of God. She went over to connect with someone who was going to give birth to the promise of God (man of God). Mary understood the importance of connecting with someone with the same story. She understood the power in connecting with someone under the divine favor of God.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that – Under the influence, connection is important. We must understand that a good connection is important in order to bring to birth God’s promises. We must understand the power that comes from connecting with like-minded people. We must understand the power in connecting with the right people. We must understand the importance of connecting with the helpers of our destiny. We must understand the power in connecting with those who understand our story. We must understand the importance of connecting with someone more experienced than us. We must understand the power that is in godly connection.

My prayer as we continue this month of June is that God will grant us the grace we need to understand the connections we need to make in order to see the promises of God come to pass in our life.

Go ahead and make those divine “connections” and see things fall in pleasant places for you.

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

In June: Keep on keeping on…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday the 2nd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Before we continue I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – let’s take time to commit this 6th month of the year into the hands of God. Still thinking about number 6 (month of June) in light of 6 being referred to as the number of man in relation to human labor & secular completeness. – another scripture that comes to mind is the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 18: 41 -46:  41 Elijah said to Ahab, “Up on your feet! Eat and drink–celebrate! Rain is on the way; I hear it coming.”   42 Ahab did it: got up and ate and drank. Meanwhile, Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bowed deeply in prayer, his face between his knees. 43 Then he said to his young servant, “On your feet now! Look toward the sea.” He went, looked, and reported back, “I don’t see a thing.” “Keep looking,” said Elijah, “seven times if necessary.”   44  And sure enough, the seventh time he said, “Oh yes, a cloud! But very small, no bigger than someone’s hand, rising out of the sea.”   “Quickly then, on your way. Tell Ahab, “Saddle up and get down from the mountain before the rain stops you.'” 45 Things happened fast. The sky grew black with wind-driven clouds, and then a huge cloudburst of rain, with Ahab hightailing it in his chariot for Jezreel
From this story we see that the servant didn’t give up even after going for 1st, 2nd 3rd 4th, 5th, 6th time … and it seemed like nothing was forth coming. He kept going until he saw the cloud. Also, all the report the servant was bringing to Elijah didn’t make him get up from his position of prayer, but he kept praying until the rain came.
The Word of God coming to us this month of June is that: We must keep on keeping on… because there is indeed the sound of the abundance of rain (the rain of blessing is coming). We might not see it at moment but as long as we keep believing and keep acting in faith, the rain will definitely fail.
My dear! As we keep doing what we are doing, we will definitely reap the harvest if we don’t fail. As we keep sowing the seed of good works, we will eventually reap the great harvest in due time As we keep trying, the rain of blessing will eventually fall over us. As we keep at what God has called us to do, then we will eventually see a great results. As we keep praying, that breakthrough will definitely come at the appointed time. As we keep on believing what God has said in His Word, then be rest assured we will see the fulfillment of His Word in our life. As we keep at it, the rain of blessing will definitely fall upon every area of our life which seems to be experiencing drought.
Be blessed as you continue in this great month, remember “keep on keeping on” — Don’t be weary! Don’t give up!! because the cloud is forming and the rain of blessing is about to fall.

My prayer today is that God will grant us the grace to keep at it — to keep on keeping on– in Jesus name. Amen!!

In June: Labor Again…

Hey dear, Happy New Month!!

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 1st Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Before we continue I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – let’s take time to commit this 6th month of the year into the hands of God.

In Bible numerology, six is the number of man which is often used when referring to human labor & and secular completeness. The number six is also used when describing the constant battle between the spirit and flesh. Thinking about number 6 (month of June) in light of these definitions — the scripture that comes to mind is Galatians 4:19, which says: My little children, for whom I LABOR in birth AGAIN until Christ is formed in you, (NKJV) — My dear children, I am in pain for you. Once again I have pain like a woman giving birth. And my pain will continue until Christ makes you like himself. (NIRV).

From this scripture – we see Paul telling the people of Galatia that: He will labor again i.e. keep laboring until Christ is formed in them. He was going to keep travailing for them until something good is birth through their lives. Paul said he was suffer again for the people until they are permanently changed.
The Word of God coming to us this new month of June is that: It’s labor time — time to try again!!

My dear! The next 30 days is a time for us to travail again. Time for us to speak life to that dead situation again. Time for us to hope & trust in God again. Time for us to give of ourselves again. Time for us to believe the Word of God again. Time for us to forgive that person that has hurt us again. Time for us to try that business again. Time for us to fight a good fight of faith again. Time for us to re-visit the words spoken to us at the beginning of this year. Time for us to give a relationship a try again. Time for us to show love again. Time for us to study that difficult subject/course again.Time for us to do that examination again. Time for us to apply for that job again. Time for us to confess the Word of God about that difficult situation again. Time for us to labor again!!
As you continue in this month of June – May we not give up or be weary in well doing. May the Holy Spirit help us to “labor again”. May the Holy Spirit grant us the grace we need to try “again”.

Enjoy your “labor” season!
Loving Regards,
Temidayo
