Brought Back Captivity

Thank God for the 28th day of August 2012. May we experience new beginnings in every area of our life this season in Jesus Name. Amen!.

As we continue in the last week of this month of August  – Let’s encourage ourselves with the scripture in Psalm 126 verses 1 to 3 which says:When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad. The dictionary define Captivity as “a state or period of being imprisoned, confined and enslaved”. So we can interpret this portion of scripture as saying:When the Lord brought the people out of the prison of life, out of their dead situation, out of their “slavery”, out of bondage, out of the control of the enemy, out of the hands of things or people who were in control of their life, out of the hopeless and difficult situation etc. The people could not believe that God has done it as it was as if they were dreaming, because the news of the freedom was so unexpected and sudden that they even doubted the truth for a while. And because of this unexpected deliverance and miracle by God, their mouth were filled with laughter, joy filled their hearths and they sang praises to God from their hearts. Also this great act of God’s divine intervention (i.e. God bringing them back from captivity), made those around them to declare that indeed the Lord is good and has done great things for these people.

As we continue in this new day – let’s rejoice and be glad because the snare is broken and we are free – the Lord has made a way for us where there seems to be no way. Praise God… Hallelujah!! Have a miracle filled day… Loving Regards,

T in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – ThANKsGiViNG: #TakesPreparation

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 22nd December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

Let’s wrap up this series on D.E.L.I.G.H.T (based on Psalm 37 vs. 4 – “DELIGHT yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”) – by looking at the T as ThANKsGiViNG.

The book of Psalms 100:4 says: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

Yesterday we said, ThANKsGiViNG is the password we need in order to be able to enter to the presence of God. This means thanksgiving and praise are to be present in us, in our hearts and minds before we bow down before Him, before we join other people in worship.

As we continue in this 11th hour (season of harvest) – another thing to note about ThANKsGiViNG is that… it takes preparation!!

We need to be determined and be prepared in our hearts before we can really give thanks to God. We are to come to worship with hearts and minds that have been consecrated, set apart, made holy for the Lord. We are to come ready, focused, serious, knowing what we are about. We are to come having meditated on who God is and what He has done. We must have allowed our hearts and minds to dwell on the goodness of God. We are to come having acknowledged His greatness and His grace. We are to come to the throne of grace – cleansed by the blood and received the grace to be holy in worship. We are to come into His presence prayerfully.

My dear! no matter how the situation is – we must purpose in our hearts to come prepared to worship Christ the King.

Have a Thank-FULL Thursday!!

Loving Regards,

Temiday

T in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – ThANKsGiViNG: #ThePassword

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 21st December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

I would be rounding up this series on D.E.L.I.G.H.T (based on Psalm 37 vs. 4 – “DELIGHT yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”) – by taking some time to look at the T as ThANKsGiViNG – Giving of Thanks… act of giving thanks… act of gratitude… grateful appreciation of favor… an expression of thanks… etcetera. The book of Psalms 100:4 using the “The Message” Translation of the bible says: Enter with the PASSWORD: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank Him. Worship Him…

My dear! Thank you!!… is #ThePassword that we need to enter the presence of God and be able to feel at home in His presence.

As we continue in this 11th hour/harvest season – Let’s use this #ThePassword. Let’s say thank you to the One Who is, Who was and Who is to come… Let’s say thank you for what He has done… Let’s say thank you for what He is doing… Let’s say thank you for what He is yet to do… Let’s say thank you for His faithfulness to us the children of men… Let’s say thank you because He has broken the gates of brass… Let’s thank God for He has cuts the bars of iron asunder… Let’s say thank you for sending His only begotten son to die for us… Let’s say thank you, for His grace, love and mercies that are new every morning…

Thank you, Lord!! Thank you, Lord!! Thank you, Lord!!

Be blessed as you go into this day and make use of this password (Thank you, Lord!!) at every opportunity we have today..

T in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – ThANKsGiViNG — Enter into…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 20th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

Wrapping up this series on D.E.L.I.G.H.T (based on Psalm 37 vs. 4 – “DELIGHT yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”) – by looking at the T as ThANKsGiViNG – Giving of thanks… act of giving thanks… act of gratitude… grateful appreciation of favor… an expression of thanks… etcetera. The book of Psalms 100:4 says – “ENTER INTO His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name” (NIV)

The Psalmist is admonishing us to “Enter into God’s gate with thanksgiving….”– To “Enter into” is to go into… To “Enter into” implies that an action is required… To “Enter into” means to participate in something… To “Enter into” signifies a purposeful forward advancement… To “Enter into” means to get involved and take part in something… To “Enter into” signifies a move from the current position…

My dear! The Word of the Lord coming to us this 11th hour (harvest season) is that – We must enter into God’s gateWe must move into the presence of the Lord. We must make every effort to give thanks to God on a daily. We must do something physical – lift up our hands, bow down, close our eyes as we worship the King of kings. We must get involved by commanding our body, soul and spirit to praise the Lord. We must re-position ourselves so that we can participate fully in giving thanks to God with everything that is within us. We must move from our current (weary/downcast) state to a position where our heart is free to worship the One who is able to make a way where there is no way.

As we continue in this new day – let’s move from our current position and take those actions required for us to be able to enter into God’s gate.

Have a Thank-Full Tuesday!!

Kind Regards,

Temidayo

My dear! H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: #ProperTime!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 14th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!!

Still continuing this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T we said the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping whatsoever we sow — let’s continue looking at Paul’s admonition of this concept of harvest using the scripture in the book of Galatians 6 verse 9, which says: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the PROPER TIME we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. In the 2nd part of this scripture Paul is admonishing us that there is a proper time for things to happen if we don’t grow weary in doing good.

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that: If we don’t grow weary the harvest will definitely take place at the #ProperTime. If we don’t get tired of sowing the right seeds we will reap a bountiful harvest at the right time. If we don’t get fed up of doing good, we will reap the fruit of our labor in due time. If we don’t grow weary of sowing the seeds of love, we reap loving relationships. If we don’t get tired of doing the right things we will reap a good life when the time is right.

Keep on sowing those seeds to please the spirit and be expectant because your harvest will definitely come at the #ProperTime

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: #dontquit!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 15th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!!

Still continuing this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T we said the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping whatsoever we sow — let’s continue looking at Paul’s admonition of this concept of harvest using different translations of the scripture in the book of Galatians 6 verse 9c, which says:

….we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (NIV) …. we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. (MSG)… we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint (AMPL) …. we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (NLT)….. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up. (CEV)

The Word of encouragement coming to us this new day is that: Harvest is bound to happen if we #don’tquit. We will definitely experience spiritual harvest if we dont stop praying & believing. We will surely experience a bountiful harvest in our situation if we don’t get tired of sowing the right seeds. We will have a harvest of blessing in our marriage, career, business if we don’t relax in our efforts. We will be rewarded with a great financial harvest if we don’t faint in giving to the poor and the work of the Kingdom. We will reap a harvest of good things if we #dontquit doing the right things.

As we continue in this season of harvest – I decree an open heaven and a release of spiritual, physical and financial harvest into our lives this season in Jesus name. Amen!!

Have an expectant heart as you go into this new day!!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: #NotBeWeary!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 12th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!!

Still continuing this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T we said the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping whatsoever we sow — let’s continue looking at Paul’s admonition of this concept of harvest using the scripture in the book of Galatians 6 verse 9a, which says: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. In the 1st part of this scripture Paul is admonishing us here that we should not be tired in doing good. We should not be fed up of helping others. We should not faint in acting nobly. So basically Paul is saying: We should not be tired of sowing the right seed. We should not be tired of sowing to please the Spirit. We should not be weary of sowing the seed of love. We should not be fed up of sowing those good seeds in our life.

My dear! the truth coming to us this harvest season is that: #NotBeWeary… #NotBeWeary is something that is important when it comes to seedtime and harvest. But as we know

#NotBeWeary is definitely not an easy thing to do especially when everything seems to be going contrary to our expectation and when we can’t see the way forward.

May God help us and grant us the grace and strength we need to ‘keep on keeping on” in spite of the way things look like around us.

Have a “weary-free” day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: #Spiritualfruit!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 8th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!!

Still continuing this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T we said the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping whatsoever we sow — let’s continue looking at Paul’s admonition of this concept of harvest using the scripture in the book of Galatians 6 verse 8b, which says: You will always harvest what you plant…..whoever sows to please the SPIRIT, from the SPIRIT will reap ETERNAL LIFE.  In this scripture Paul was admonishing us that the #spiritual is also important with Seedtime and Harvest so we should endeavor to sow to please the Spirit so that we can reap a godly life. And he goes further in the book of Galatians 5:22 & 23 to list the some of the #Spiritualfruit that people harvest when they take time to sow to please the Spirit ~ But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control (NLT)….But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely (MSG)

As we continue in this harvest season– let’s make every effort to understand and sow things to please the spirit so that will a good and godly harvest.

Enjoy your season of spiritual harvest!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Also the #Spiritual!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 7th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!!

In this scripture, Paul is admonishing us to endeavor to sow seed to please the Spirit so that we can reap eternal life. We should endeavor to be lead by the Spirit so we will reap a good harvest. We should allow the Holy Spirit to do the work in us so that we can harvest a crop of real life. We should endeavor to walk by faith so that we will reap the fruit of our prayers. We should endeavor to please God with our life. We should seek to cultivate the affection/character of the Holy Spirit. We should endeavor to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. We should seek to use our worldly substance to promote spiritual things. We should yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The Word coming this new day is that – The #spiritual is also important with Seedtime and Harvest – so we should endeavor to sow to please the Spirit so that we can reap a godly life.

As we continue in tis harvest season– let’s seek to understand those things we can sow to the spirit so that we can please God with our life..

H in H.A.R.V.E.S.T — RE: Fleshy seeds!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 6th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T — we said that the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is based on reaping whatsoever we sow because it would certainly be a surprise if we planted corn and tomato came up. As it is a natural law to harvest what we plant so also is it true other areas as well.

Yesterday we said we should be careful not to only sow to please our flesh because sowing “fleshy seeds” because one day we will definitely reap the results of every of our actions/words. And we saw the list the kind of things people harvest when they sow “fleshy seeds” in the book of Galatians 5:19-21 —Let’s re-visit this again today using 2 other translations of the Bible.

Contemporary English Version (CEV): People’s desires make them give in to immoral ways, filthy thoughts, and shameful deeds. They worship idols, practice witchcraft, hate others, and are hard to get along with. People become jealous, angry, and selfish. They not only argue and cause trouble, but they are envious. They get drunk, carry on at wild parties, and do other evil things as well. I told you before, and I am telling you again: No one who does these things will share in the blessings of God’s kingdom.

Message (MSG): it is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn’t the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God’s kingdom.

Paul says here that he could go on and on about the results that sowing “fleshy seeds” will eventually bring to the life of those who always trying to get their own way and keep on sowing to please their flesh/sinful nature.

As we continue in this season of harvest – let’s make a daily commitment to avoid “fleshy seeds” because the harvest that these kinds of seeds produce are not always the best.

Enjoy a “last minute” miracle this season!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

H in H.A.R.V.E.S.T: Fleshy seeds!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 5th December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord.

Let’s look further at Paul’s admonition in the book of Galatians 6 verse 8a, which says: Those who sow or live only to satisfy their own sinful nature (flesh/physical desires) will HARVEST decay and death from that sinful nature…. (NLT)

Paul is highlighting that we should be careful not to only sow to please our flesh because sowing “fleshy seeds” i.e. following the desires of our flesh/sinful nature can lead to sorrow and evil. And he goes further in the book of Galatians 5:19-21 to list the kind of things people harvest when they sow “fleshy seeds” — When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

The Word coming to us today is that: we should be careful not to sow “fleshy seeds” which will eventually lead to a harvest of some of the results listed above. We should be careful not to practice the acts of the flesh. We should be careful not to be controlled by the works of the flesh.

As we continue in this season of harvest – let’s be conscious of the seeds we sow on a daily basis because one day we will reap the results of every of our actions/words.

Enjoy a “last minute” harvest today!

Loving Regards,

H in H.A.R.V.E.S.T: Establising covenant…

Hey dear, Happy New Month!!

Thank God for today 1st December 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day. May we experience some “last minute” miracles ~ this last month of the year in Jesus name. Amen!

As we start this new month of December, we’ll continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.Tthe understanding that it is the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s look at the scripture in the book of Genesis 17 vs. 7:  I’m establishing my covenant between me and you, a covenant that includes your descendants, a covenant that goes on and on and on, a covenant that commits me to be your God and the God of your descendants. In this scripture God told Abraham that He was going to ESTABLISH His covenant between him (Abraham) and his descendants (children). “To establish” means: to set up; to place or settle in a secure position or condition; to set (a thing or person) in a place and make it stable there.

As you and I are descendants of Abraham, the Word coming to us this last month of the year 2011 is that: God is going to establish His covenant (word, promises, prophesy) in our life at the last minute (11th hour).

My dear! As we go into the last month of the year 2011 – let’s be encouraged because God going to establish and settle every area of our life this month. Let’s be expectant this 11th hour because God is going to cause us to be recognized and favored. Let’s be expectant this 11th hour because God is going to bring stability to every area of our life. Let’s be expectant because God is setting us up for some 11th hour miracles this month.
You might be thinking how can this happen?… it’s only 31 days remaining till the end of the year. But I want to assure you that: God is going to establish His covenant with us because He is not a man that He should lie. Once He has spoken He will bring it to pass.

As we continue to take time to sow the right seed – we will indeed reap the harvest of this word in Genesis 17:7 at this 11th hour in Jesus Name. Amen!.

Have a blessed month!!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Not just the physical!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 30th November 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day of the Lord. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T by looking further at the scripture in the book of Genesis 8:22- “while the earth remains, SEEDTIME and HARVEST…shall not cease”.

We said yesterday that the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is based on reaping whatsoever we sow — let’s continue looking at Paul’s admonition of this concept of harvest using the scripture in the book of Galatians 6 verse 8a, which says: Those who sow or live only to satisfy their own sinful nature (flesh/physical desires) will HARVEST decay and death from that sinful nature…. (NLT)

In this scripture, Paul is highlighting that we should be careful not to only sow to please our flesh because sowing to the flesh can lead to destruction.

My dear! The truth of the Word coming to us this new day is that:  We should be careful not to sow seeds that will only benefit our physical life. We should be careful that we don’t do things that will only please our sensual nature. We should be careful not to do things that is only good for our physical appearance. We should be careful not to do things that only suits us. We should be careful not to take actions that satisfies only our evil nature. We should be careful not to do things that will satisfy only our fleshy desires. We should be careful not to do things that will cause us to live out of the control of the Spirit of God.

As we continue in this great day – may God grant us the grace not to sow only “fleshy” seeds so that we will reap an abundance harvest and not destruction from the seeds sown.

Have an awesome harvest season!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: whatever we sow!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 29th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new day that the Lord has made.

We said yesterday that the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping after its kind – this concept of harvest is also highlighted by Paul in Galatians 6 verse 7, which says: Don’t be misled. Remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow!” ~ Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant (NLT) ~ Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. (AMPL) ~ You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant. (CEV) ~ Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. (NIV)

This scripture speaks volume in itself – it’s saying basically that: We will reap whatever we sow! Whatever meaning whatsoever J — So let’s not think we can fool God. Let’s not think we can get away with sowing bad seed and expect to reap anything good. Let’s not fool ourselves thinking we can deceive God by our actions because we will reap the reward of everything we do. Let’s not think we can mock God by the things we say because we will reap the fruit of our lips (our words). Let’s not think we can play God by the kind of seeds we sow and expect to harvest anything good. Let’s not deceive ourselves because we will reap the fruit of the kind of seeds we sow into our life.

My dear! The truth of the Word coming to us this new day is that: We should not deceive ourselves because one day we will reap whatsoever (good or bad) that we sow in this life.

May God grant us the grace to consciously sow the right kind of seeds – so that we will reap a bountiful harvest of good things in our life..

Have a glorious harvest season!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: After its kind

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 28th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new day that the Lord has made.

We said principle of Seedtime and Harvest is a law from God – then God has to live by His own rules and ensure that he supports and operate within the confines of this principle. Another scripture to support this concept is Genesis 1:11 which says: “And God said, ’Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth:’ and it was so.” At creation, God commanded the earth to bring forth seeds that will produce after its kind. The apple will always provide a seed that will reproduce the apple. The loving person will reproduce loving people just as the violent will create violence all around them. A seed can only reproduce after its own kind. It’s a law of nature. God has stamped in us an image of Himself so we are reproducing ourselves in our children, our friends and our world.

The truth coming to us this new day is that: The principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about reaping after its kind. Looking at a fruit will show what kind of seed produced it and what kind of fruit will come from its seed. The question is: What kind of seed are we sowing? What kind of words are we speaking ~positive or negative words? What kind of people are we allowing to influences us? What kind of choices are we making? What kind of example are we showing our children/siblings ~ good or bad? What kind of life are we living?

May God help us as we take stock of things – so that with this principle of “reap after its kind”, we will experience a bountiful harvest of the good we have sown.

Have a wonderful harvest season!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Hundredfold return!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 23rd November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this month in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T by looking further at the scripture in the book of Genesis 8:22- “while the earth remains, SEEDTIME and HARVEST…shall not cease”

Yesterday, we started by saying if the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is a law from God – then God has to live by His own rules and ensure that he supports and operate within the confines of this principle. Another translation of the scripture in the book of Genesis Chapter 26 vs.12 says: Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year REAPED a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him (NIV) –  When Isaac planted his crops that year, he HARVESTED a hundred time more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. (NLT) God blessed Isaac’s seed and it came back to him in form of a good harvest

From this scripture, we can say that the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about a hundredfold multiplication – because God always ensures that every seed that is sown multiplies. God is bound to release the blessing of a hundredfold return on all of the seed that we have sown that qualifies.

So my dear! Just like we get a return on our investment (shares, bond, real estate etc) in the financial world – the word of the encouragement coming to us at this 11th hour is that:  we will experience a hundredfold return on the investment we have made into our spiritual life. We will experience a hundredfold return on the love we have sown into our relationships. We will experience a hundredfold return on the time we have invested in our career/business. We will experience a hundredfold return on the time we have invested into bringing up our children. We will experience a hundredfold return on the handwork we have put into our jobs/studies/career/business etc. We will experience a hundredfold return on the service we have rendered in our local churches. We will experience a hundredfold return on every good seed we have sown in every aspect of life.

As we continue in this 11th hour – let’s continue to believe for a hundredfold return on the all physical, financial & spiritual investment we have made this year 2011.

Enjoy a bountiful harvest-time!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Seed multiplication!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 22nd November 2011 – let’s rejoice & be glad in this new day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life today in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T by looking further at the scripture “while the earth remains, SEEDTIME and HARVEST…shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22)

We said the concept of Seedtime and Harvest is a law and the nature of the seed is also important. Another thing about this concept is that – Seeds always bring back more than you sow i.e. seed multiplication. And if the principle of Seedtime and Harvest a law from God – then God has to live by His own rules and make every effort to operate within the confines of this principle. As the scripture in the book of Genesis Chapter 26 vs.12 says: Isaac planted grain and had a GOOD HARVEST that same year. The LORD blessed him, (CEV) – Isaac planted crops in that land and took in a HUGE HARVEST. God blessed him (MSG) – In this scripture, we are being told that – God blessed Isaac’s seed and it came back to him (the same year) in form of a good harvest. The Lord’s hand was upon the seed that Isaac planted and he reaped a huge harvest in the same season.

The word coming to us 2day is that – the principle of Seedtime and Harvest is about “seed multiplication” and God will always ensure there is multiplication of the seeds sown. So let’s trust God to multiply the seed we have sown in every area of our life. Let’s believe God to cause a bountiful harvest of the seed we have sown into the life of people. Let’s be encouraged knowing that there will be a fulfillment of seed of the Word that we have sown into our situation.

As we continue in this 11th hour – let’s be expectant of that sudden & last minute harvest from every seed we have sown this year 2011.

Enjoy a wonderful harvest time!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Nature of the Seed!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today 21th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new day that the Lord has made.

We said the concept of Seedtime and Harvest is a law and a seed is required for the law to be fulfilled. Another thing about this concept is the “Nature of the Seed” As we know that seed produces after it’s own kind. This means whatever harvest one expects in life, one must start with a seed of like kind.

So the word coming to us today is that: the “nature of the seed” is very important. If we want an increased awareness of what love is, then we have to sow seeds of love. If we want a harvest of wisdom, then we have to sow seeds of wisdom into our life through studying. If we want to enjoy good relationships in life, then we must sow lovely and godly seeds into people around us. if we want to enjoy good health, then we have to sow seeds of healthy & well balanced diet into our life. If we want to harvest success in our career/business, then we have to sow seeds of time into what we are doing. If we want to reap a harvest of prosperity, then we have to sow seeds of finance. If we want to enjoy a good spiritual life, then we have to sow seeds of fellowship with God and fellow believers.

As we continue in this 11th hour season – let’s be conscious of the nature of the seeds we sow so that we can reap the harvest that we desire.

Enjoy a blessed seed-sowing time!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest: Seed is required!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 17th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new month in Jesus name.

Yesterday we said the concept of Seedtime and Harvest is a law – it’s a constant and will never cease. Another thing to note about this concept is that: Seed is required for this law to be fulfilled. Seeds must be planted, grow & multiply for harvest to happen. Just like a corn seed planted grows up and produces ears with rows and rows more corn seeds.

The Word coming to us today is that: Seed is required! The seed must grow, multiply and mature for there to be a bountiful harvest. As we said everything we think, say and do is a seed – so this seed will grow up and multiply i.e produce many more of their own kind. Therefore, we had better like the seeds we’re planting because they will multiply. We had better be careful what kind of seeds we’re planting because they will multiply into harvest that we have to reap. We had better plant the right kind of seeds into our life because they will grow and produce more of their own kind.

As we continue in this 11th hour season – remember the seed is important in the kind of harvest we reap, so let’s make conscious effort to plant the right kind of seeds into our life and those around us.

Have a blessed and highly favored day!

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest – It’s a law!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 16th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new month in Jesus name. Amen!

We started considering the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! Let’s continue this concept of Harvest as the H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T by looking further at the scripture in the book of Genesis 8:22 – “while the earth remains, SEEDTIME and HARVEST…shall not cease”.

What this scripture is saying here is that: ” Seedtime and Harvest” is the foundation principle and law within which God operate. And it will remain in force as long as the earth remains. Seedtime & Harvest is the basis or foundational principle of all that God has done, created, is doing, or will ever do. When we think of this concept the most important thing to understand is that Seedtime & Harvest is a law – It doesn’t change. It is not a probability or something that happens sometimes. It is constant, always true and works every single time.

So basically the truth coming to us this new day is that: Seedtime & Harvest is a law ~ We must understand and operate within this principle in every aspect of life. We must understand that Seedtime & Harvest affects everyone and everything God has created. We must understand that everything we think, say or do has its basis in this concept. We must understand that seed is an important part of this concept.

As we go thru this season – let’s remind ourselves that “Seedtime & Harvest is a law” ~ sowing seeds and reaping a harvest from seeds sown will never cease to happen as long as there is life.

Have a fruitful day!

Temidayo

H in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – Harvest

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 15th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new  month in Jesus Name. Amen!

Yesterday we started looking at the concept of Harvest which kind of ties in with the Eleventh hour” i.e. It’s the 11th hour (last minute) and it is harvest time!! And if we remember earlier in the year, we have been trying to understand what it means to Delight in the Lord as Psalm 37;4 says: “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”.

So far we have looked at D.E.L.I.G.H.T under the following categories: Decrees, Expressions, Love, Influence, Godconnection and now we want to look at the H – Harvest and how it relates to delighting in God.

The scripture in the book of Genesis 8:22 says – “while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest…shall not cease”. The 1st question is: Does the earth still remain? If it does – then for each seed that is sown, there must be a time of harvest. This law of sowing and reaping can never cease/stop. Just like farmers must plants their seed in the spring in order for them to have something to harvest ~ because if no seeds are planted then there’s no crop to harvest that year. So also we need to sow good seed into every aspects of our life in order for us to be able to reap something good out of life.

My dear! The word coming to us this 11th hour is that: It’s harvest time! ~ but we must be prepared to plant some seeds order for us to be able to have something to harvest.

Note: See some archived messages on “Harvest” by Pastor Andy on: http://www.wocconline.org/livebroadcast/

As we continue in this 11th hour – let’s make conscious effort to plant those seeds and expect a bountiful harvest.

It is Harvest Time!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 14th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new  month in Jesus Name. Amen!

As we continue to think about this month (11/11) in light of the phrase: “The Eleventh hour” i.e. we experiencing some last minute/sudden miracles. Another concept that comes to mind is “Harvest” as the bible says in the book of Genesis 8: 22 — “As long as the earth endures, SEEDTIME and HARVEST, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. This scripture is a law that God has set into motion for every aspect of life. This means there will never be a time that we won’t have an opportunity to sow and reap. There will always be a time to plant seed and a time to harvest. But if we are going to receive the results promised then we must operate according to the Law set forth by God. This means if we desire to harvest something good then we must make sure we plant some good seeds. If we have planted some seeds we must be prepared for the harvest.

My dear! The Word coming to us at this 11th hour is that: It is Harvest Time!! It is time to reap what we have sown (Galatians 6:7). It’s time to reap everything we have sown into every aspect of our life. It’s time to reap the time we have sown into our friendships/relationships. It’s time to reap the hard work we have sown into our jobs/business/ministry/career. Its time to reap the love we have sown into our families/marriages. It’s time for us to reap the good diet we have sown into our health. It’s time to reap from the different investments we have made. It’s time to reap from those generous seeds we have sown. It’s time for us to reap the prayers we have sown into our life and those of our loved ones.

As we continue in this new month/week/day – let’s start to prepare ourselves because: It is Harvest Time!!

Have a blessed week

The 11th hour – Example #4

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 10th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new  month in Jesus Name. Amen!

As we continue to think about this month (11/11) in light of the phrase: “The Eleventh hour” i.e. we experiencing some last minute move of God and the Word “Suddenly” i.e. we experiencing some unexpected and sudden move of God in our situation at this 11th hour. Let’s look further at the scripture in Luke 7: 12-14 — 12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her.13 When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said. 14 Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped.“Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.”

In this story we were told that Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the widow whose only son had died. Jesus would have seen some things for Him to recognize who the dead boy’s mother was. He must have noticed the woman specially because of her state i.e. physical appearance – swollen/tired eyes from crying, type/color of clothes (black), condition of her face, emotional disposition etc.

My dear! The Word of the encouragement coming to us today is that: God has seen the state of our heart/mind… God has seen those “swollen” eyes… God has seen that “desperate” situation… God has seen the condition of things in our relationships, finances, health, job etc … God has seen how dark everything is… God has seen the state of things in our life. And He is ready to come through for us at the 11th hour.  He is about to bring life to every dead situation at the 11th hour. He is about to touch that desperate situation. He is about to wipe our tears away at the 11th hour.

As we continue in this month 11/11 – let’s be expectant of those 11th hour miracles & be encouraged becos’ God is not a man that He should lie ~ He will definitely fulfill His part of the deal.

Have a Thank-FULL Thursday!

Loving Regards,

Eleventh Hour – Example # 3

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 9th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made.

Let’s look at the scripture in Luke 7: 12-13 — 12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her.13 When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. And he said “Don’t cry!”

In this story we were told that as Jesus approached the gate of the city – he came across the funeral procession for a widow’s only son. Hmmm! This woman was already a widow and has now lost her only son and only means of support. This woman’s life story is an 11th hour situation, one in which in which all hope has been lost, a situation in which there is no solution in the natural, a situation in which every support is gone, an embarrassing situation as people will be asking questions like – why would she lose both her hubby & her only child? Is there something wrong with her? Is she the one who killed them both?, a situation in which all doors has been shut, a situation in which there is emptiness and loneliness, a situation in which the future appears bleak, a depressing situation etcetera. But the Bible then goes on to say that as Jesus saw the woman – his heart was moved with compassion and said “Don’t cry!”

My dear! The Word of encouragement coming to us at this 11th hour of life is “Don’t cry!” – No matter how hopeless everything around us looks – God is saying: “Don’t cry!” So let’s wipe those tears because the God that comes through at the 11th hour is with us. Emmanuel our God is with us!

Have a joy-filled day!

Loving Regards,

The 11th hour – Example #2

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 8th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made.

Let’s look at the scripture in Exodus 2: 23-24 – 23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their cries, and he remembered the agreement he had made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob

In this story, the Israelites had gone through 400 years of slavery – affliction in the hands of the Egyptians. 400 years… Waow!! 400 years is a very long time for anyone to be afflicted. I am sure at some point they would have thought would God’s promise ever come to pass in their life. But the scripture then goes on to say that the people continued to groan in their slavery and a time came that God heard the deep cry of their heart and remembered the covenant He has made with their fathers (Abraham, Isaac & Jacob). Suddenly! God heard the deep cry of their heart.

Like the Israelites — you might be at this point where you are thinking – Will God’s promise ever come to pass. Will I ever experience the divine intervention of God in this situation. Will things ever get better. Will I ever find the will of God for my life. Will there ever be a change in my situation.  Will I ever be financially stable. Will the Word that God has spoken ever be fulfillment in my life. Will I ever get an answer to my prayers (those questions I have been asking).

My dear! The Word of encouragement coming to us today is that: God has heard these thoughts… God has heard the cry of our heart… God has noticed the seeds we have sown. And He has remembered His covenant/promise to us.

As we continue in this season –  let’s be expectant of an 11th hour miracle this month. Let’s be expectant of some “last minute” opportunities. Let’s be expectant of a “sudden” change.

Have a glorious day!

Loving Regards,

Eleventh Hour – Example # 1

Thank God for today the 7th November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new  month in Jesus Name. Amen!

As we continue to think about this month (11/11) in light of the phrase: “The Eleventh hour” i.e. experiencing some last minute move of God and the Word “Suddenly” i.e. experiencing some unexpected and sudden move of God at this 11th hour. Let’s look at the scripture in the book of Acts 10: 30 – 31 Cornelius replied, “Four days ago I was praying in my house about this same time, three o’clock in the afternoon. SUDDENLY, a man in dazzling clothes was standing in front of me. 31 He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God!

In this scripture we are told that – Suddenly a man in shining clothes (a representation of God) stood before Cornelius and told him that his prayer and all the things he has been doing for the poor has been noticed by God. The Word of God come to Cornelius suddenly and His life never remained the same.

My dear! God is also sending His Word to us today – God has heard those heartfelt prayers. God has noticed our labor of love towards people. God has heard the cry of our heart and our tears have been wiped away at this 11th hour. God has remembered our good work and our reward has come at this 11th hour. God has heard our prayers concerning that situation and we will experience a sudden change /shift. God has noticed our service to the people around and an unexpected blessing is on the way. God has seen our heart and our desires will be granted unto us at this 11th hour. God has seen all the good seeds we have sown and the harvest has come at this 11th hour.

Let’s be encouraged because it’s time to experience some 11th hour miracles. Let’s rejoice and be glad because – it’s time to experience some sudden = “last minute” miracles.

Have a great day!

NOTHING JUST HAPPENS – Be encouraged!

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all circumstances, said: My king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes! One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his majesty losing a finger. Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman said “Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger.” The slave replied: “My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows “why” of all these things. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong! Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who made human sacrifices. In the altar, ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages found that the victim had not one of his fingers, so he was released. According to them, it was not so complete to be offered to the gods. Upon his return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave that he received very affectionately. “My dear, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?” “My King, if I had gone with you in this hunt, I would have been sacrificed for you, because I have no missing finger, therefore, remember everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong.”

Often we complain about life, and negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose. Every morning, offer your day to God, don’t be in a rush. Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, and ease your feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong! You know why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows and remember NOTHING JUST HAPPENS…there is always a reason.

TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today the 4th of November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyric of the song “I almost let go” by Kurt Carr & Singers  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Fx3l2DMDh4

My dear! Let’s be encouraged as we continue to wait to experience a sudden and unexpected move of God in our live at this 11th hour (11/2011). Enjoy a blessed and highly favored weekend.

Suddenly...!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 3rd November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made.

Let’s look at the scripture in the book of Acts 2 vs. 2 – 3  –  And SUDDENLY there came from the sky a sound as of a strong rushing blast of wind. This filled the whole house where they were sitting; and they saw tongues of what looked like fire distributing themselves over the assembly, and on the head of each person a tongue alighted.
This scripture says: And Suddenly – the disciples experienced a sudden move of God in the upper room and the whole room was filled with the presence/power of God and from that moment each person never remained the same.

With this same unction – I declare this new day: And suddenly… we will experience our 11th hour miracle. And suddenly… a door of opportunity will be opened for us. And suddenly… we will experience a way out of no way in that situation. And suddenly… we will experience a bountiful harvest in those places we have sown. And suddenly… every chains (stronghold) preventing us from moving to our next level will be removed. And suddenly… we will experience a divine connection. And suddenly… we will experience a new beginning in our job/career/ministry/business. And suddenly… we will experience the touch from God that will change our life forever.

My dear! Let’s be encouraged and expectant as we continue in this season as – we are about to experience a sudden and unexpected move of God in our live at this 11th hour (11/2011).

Enjoy a blessed and highly favored day.

Loving Regards,

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 2nd day November 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made. May we experience some “last minute moves” in our life this new month in Jesus Name. Amen!

As I continue to think about this month (11/11) in light of the phrase: “The Eleventh hour” i.e. we experiencing some last minute move of God; the word “suddenly” (unexpectedly) springs to my mind. The scripture in the book of Isaiah 48 vs.3 says I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of My mouth, and I announced them; SUDDENLY I did them, and they came to pass.
The Word of the Lord coming to us today is that: God who does things suddenly i.e. without warning is ready to take the center stage of our life; and when He comes in everything must align with His plan and purpose for our life.  My dear! I want you to be expectant of some sudden occurrences from the God of “suddenly” this new month. Be prepared for a sudden move of the God in your ministry, marriage, career, business etc. Be expectant of the sudden disruption to every plan of the enemy as God takes over. Be ready for the sudden move of God in that situation that you and people have been tagged “impossible”. Be expectant and wait in anticipation of that 11th hour miracle that God is going to do in your relationships this season. Be prepared for a sudden harvest experience in those areas that you have sown – because seed time and harvest will never cease.  God of “suddenly”…..is ready to do some unexpected things in our life so let’s continue to believe and be expectant of the sudden move of God in our situation at this 11th hour (11/2011)

Happy New month – The 11th hour

Hey dear,

Thank God for today the 1st day November 2011: the 11th month of the year 2011 – let’s rejoice and be glad in this new month & day that the Lord has made.

As I was thinking about this new month (11/11) the phrase: “The Eleventh hour” came to mind – 11th hour means the last minute  – at the last possible time. People say things like “I turned the report in at the 11th hour”… just before the absolute deadline or “I made the decision at the 11th hour”… as late as possible.

In bible terms, the Eleventh hour is thought to allude to the parable of the laborers (Matthew 20:1-16), in which those workers hired at the 11th hour of a twelve-hour working day were paid the same amount as those who began in the first hour. With this in mind, I tag this 11th month of the year 2011 (11/11) as “a season of 11th hour miracles” – a time to experience ‘last minute’ intervention of God in our life & all that concerns us.

My dear! I agree with you as we start this month that – We will experience ‘last-minute’ miracles in the mighty Name of Jesus. We will experience the mighty move of God in that situation that people have thought is impossible. We will experience a ‘last-minute’ intervention in that ‘hopeless’ situation. We will experience a sudden change in that situation that we have been praying about. We will experience the healing power of God over that terminal sickness. We will experience a sudden breakthrough in our finances. We will experience the supernatural move of God in our relationship/ marriage/home. We will experience a sudden shift in that situation that we have been worrying about. We will experience a last-minute miracle in our job/ministry/business. We will see experience some unexpected doors of opportunity open unto us. We will experience major surprises this new month of November. We will experience harvest in places we have sown. We will experience some last-minute miracles in our life this season… in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen! My dear! God is ready to do all that He has purposed and planned for us so let’s believe and be expectant of those ‘last-minute’ moves in our life this new month of November. Happy New month once again — Rejoice as you wait in anticipation for those 11th hour miracles. Loving Regards, Temidayo

Itsalreadyalright

Hi Dear,

Thank God for the last day of October, Monday, the 31st of October 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name! My prayer is that the blessing that God has prepared for us this new day will be ours in Jesus name. Amen!!
As we continue in this season – let’s be encourage ourselves again today as we look at the scripture in the book of James Chapter 1: 2 – 4:
2 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. 3 You know that under pressure i.e. when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
The Word of the Lord to us today is that you should consider it joy when we are going through tests, challenges, trials because God has allowed them to come our way for a reason. We should rejoice and be glad in those experiences because it is under pressure that our faith-life shows it true color and is developed.
My dear! Don’t try to give up on life because of what you are facing now… Don’t try to work things out in the way you feel it should be… Don’t say I won’t even bother about this anymore maybe God doesn’t want this or that for me… Don’t let the situation push you to make decisions that you’ll forever regret.
But instead — let the situation cause you to wait patiently for the timing of God. Let this situation cause you to draw close to God knowing fully well that His plan for you are good. Let this situation cause you to wait on God for His perfect will. Let this situation cause you to develop a strong character as you wait on God. Let the situation cause you to desire to become matured in the Lord. Let this situation cause you to wait for the time of harvest of the seeds you have sown. Let this situation cause joy to well up inside of you knowing that Jehovah sees, Jehovah knows and Jehovah is in control.

Consider it great joy… and remain blessed as you continue in this great day/week and make sure you see everything that you are going through as an opportunity for joy.

Have a joy-FULL week!!
Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 28h of October 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Be blessed as you listen to this lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oknOA3aOnJA – “Already Alright” –  from her ‘Mountain High…Valley Low’ album.

My dear! I believe it’s already alright because of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus as He said “it is finished” = it’s already done = It’s already alright!!

As you go into this weekend – be encouraged because God is not  a man that He should lie whatever He said He’ll do He’ll bring to pass – so itsalreadyalright#

Have a blessed weekend

You may not know how or when….

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 27th of October 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name! My prayer is that the blessing that God has prepared for us this new day will be ours in Jesus name. Amen!!
As we continue in this season – let’s be encourage ourselves again today because God is not a man! He doesn’t tell lies or change His mind. God always keeps His promises. Let’s look at the Word in the book of 2 Kings 3 vs.17 – 18: 17 For thus says the Lord: You shall not see wind or rain, but this valley is going to fill up with water and your army and your animals will drink their fill. 18 This is easy for GOD to do.

The Word of the Lord came to Elisha that he should tell the people that they won’t hear the wind blow neither will they see the rain that is meant to fall in order for the valley to be filled. But the fact is that the valley (trenches/holes) that have been prepared shall be filled i.e. they won’t understand how the water got to the valley. Just like God is telling us today that He is about to fill the dry valley of our life with water. He about to do something supernatural in our life. He is about to make a way out of no way.
So my dear! The Word of encouragement to you today is that: “You may not know how, you may not know when — but the dry valley shall be filled”.

We may not understand how anything will happen but God will bring to pass everything He has spoken concerning us. We may not see the way out in that difficult situation but God is working to bring us a perfect end. We may not understand what is happening about our marital life but God is working behind the scene. We may not know how that sickness will be healed but Jehovah Ropheka/Rapha will bring it to pass. We may not see how that breakthrough in business will come about but it will happen. We may not know how that promotion will happen at work but it will definitely come to pass. We may not understand our financial situation at the moment but Jehovah Jireh is making a way. We may not know how, we may not know when… but the faithful One will do it.
Be blessed as you go into this great day, remember you may not know how or when but know this for sure: “your valley shall be filled again”

Loving regards

Joy Has Come

Hi Dear,Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 26th of October 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off in Jesus Name! May God grant us the grace to continue to “hang in there” even in the face of all opposition. As we continue in this season – let’s be encouraged because God is not a man! He doesn’t tell lies or change His mind. God always keeps His promises. Today, let’s look at the Word of God in the book of Psalm 30:5b : The nights of crying your eyes out will give way to days of laughter (MSG) — Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (AMP) — Weeping may go on all night, but joy comes with the morning (NLT)
My dear! you may look around you and see some things that’s making you cry…  you may even have lost your joy over a particular situation… you may have a situation in your life that keeps challenging your faith… you may have something in your life that makes you sad any time you remember or think about it. But the Word of God to you today is that your joy is definitely coming in the morning: NOW!! TODAY!!
The truth about nature is that whenever there is night time (darkness) there is bound to be morning (daylight/). Just like you slept yesterday night and woke up into the daylight – a morning; so also it is that after a season of “darkness” everyone of us will experience “a morning” in our life.
My dear! Believe and agree with the Word that is coming to you today. Be encouraged today because your morning i.e. your joy has come: your morning of remembrance… your morning of favor… your morning of breakthrough… your morning of divine visitation… your morning of abundance… your morning of divine direction… your morning of deliverance… your morning of miracle…  your morning of joy… your morning of divine intervention… your morning of new beginnings… has come.
Remain blessed as you continue in this day. No more crying! wipe your tears and start to walk in the light of this Word for your morning…your joy has come. NOW is your morning!!!

Loving Regards, Temidayo

Hang in There

Hi Dear,Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 25th of October 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off in Jesus Name! May God grant us the grace to continue to “hang in there” even in the face of all opposition. I just feel like encouraging someone (including myself) this bless day:
My dear! I want to tell you today that God loves you… I want you to know that Jehovah sees! Jehovah knows! and Jehovah is in control… I want you to know that God has a very great and good plan for you… I want you to know that ALL He has spoken concerning you and that situation will definitely come to pass… I want you to know that the best is yet to come… I want you to know that you are not a failure, neither are you cursed… I want you to know that you are a blessed child of God… I want you to understand  that whatever you are going through right now is for a very good purpose… I want you to know that there will definitely be a light at the end of the tunnel… I want you to know that God can never and will never leave you nor forsake you… I want you to know that weeping make last for a night but joy is coming in the morning… I want you to know that God has got your back covered… I want you to know that His grace is sufficient for you in every situation… I want you to know that God will make all things is beautiful for every situation… I want you to know that God’s timing is perfect… I want you to know that God will perfect ALL that concerns you (according to His will)… I want you to know that all you are going through is to bring you to a perfect and expected end… I want you to know that it is well with you.

My dear! All you need to do is to “hang in there” in faith and you will see the hand of God upon your life as He fulfils His promise to you.

Hang in there! Hang in there! Hang in there!

Be blessed as you go into this NEW day with that assurance that God is in control, so hang in there!

#wordscattering#: Isaiah 3 vs. 10 – It is well!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 28th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name! My prayer today is that God will grant us the grace to continue to hang on in the face of all opposition… AMEN

Still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# and taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart. Today let’s look at the scripture in the book of Isaiah 3 vs.10 which says: Say to the righteous that IT SHALL BE WELL with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds (AMPL) – Tell those who do what is right that things will go well for them,    because they will receive a reward for what they do (NCV) — I just feel like encouraging someone/myself today:
My dear! I want to let you know today that: It is well…all is well with you and everything that concerns you. I want you to know that Jehovah sees! Jehovah knows! and Jehovah is in control. I want you to know that God has a very great and good plan for you. I want you to know that ALL God has spoken concerning you and that situation will definitely come to pass. I want you to know that the best is yet to come. I want you to know that you are not a failure, neither are you cursed. I want you to know that you are a blessed child of God. I want you to understand  that whatever you are going through right now is going to work out for your good purpose. I want you to know that God can never and will never leave you nor forsake you. I want you to know that God’s got your back. I want you to know that His grace is sufficient for you in every situation. I want you to know that God is beautiful for every situation. I want you to know that God’s timing is perfect. I want you to know that God will perfect ALL that concerns you (according to His will & purpose). I want you to know that all you are going through is to bring you to a perfect and expected end.

As we continue in this season – let’s hold on in faith as we wait to see the manifestation of the promises of God to us. Let’s take time to scatter & declare: It is well… It is well with me!

Note: Will be offline for the next couple of week. Remain blessed and highly favored.

#wordscattering#: John 14 vs. 1 – I refuse to be troubled!!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 27th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name!

Still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# and taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart. Today let’s look at the scripture in the book of John 14 verse 1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. (KJV) – Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. (CEV) – DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. (AMPL)
This scripture give the account of the discussion that Jesus had with His disciples — when he was about to leave them. He was telling them not to allow their heart to be troubled. Because He knew that they will encounter a lot of trials andf tribulations when He departs from them. So He had to give them this word of affirmation — that they should not be afraid but have faith in God the Father and in Him (Jesus).
My dear! The Word of the Lord coming to us from this scripture today is that: we should not be troubled but have faith in God. Jesus is telling us not to be agitated about anything happening around us. He is telling us not to fret about what we will eat or drink or how we will pay the bills. Jesus is telling us not to allow anything to depress us. Jesus is telling us not to allow ourselves to be confused about any decision we need to make. He is telling us not to worry, no matter what the world might be throwing at us. Jesus is telling us not to be concerned about what will happen tomorrow. He is telling us not to let our heart be troubled. Jesus is telling us not to allow ourselves to be disturbed by what we hear or see. He is telling us not to allow our circumstance to stir up any form of fear in us. Jesus is telling us we should not allow any form of emotional disturbance in our life.
As we continue in this great day — let’s make a concious effort not to allow anything to trouble us — let’s scatter: “I refuse to be troubled!!”

#wordscattering# – Philippians 4:13 – I can do it!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 22nd of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name!

Still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# and taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

Today let’s look at the scripture in the book of Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength (NCV) – – I can do all this through him who gives me strength (NIV) — Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. (MSG)

Paul says He can do ALL things… not just the things he knows he has the ability to do… but ALL things. Even though he knew he wasn’t qualified or didn’t have all that it takes to do some things but Paul was adamant that he is able to do those things through Christ.

My dear! What is that thing before you that looks so difficult? What is that situation that looks like a mountain that it seems you can’t surmount?

The word coming to us today is that we can do ALL things through Christ that gives us strength. We can achieve everything that God has planned for us by His power. We can get to the top level in our career through Christ that enables us. We can grow spiritually through Christ that empowers us. We can know God better through the Holy Spirit that reveal God to us. We can walk in the fulness of God in every area of our life through Christ that infuses inner strength. We are equal to any task because of the strength that comes through Christ. We can study and be successful in that examination because of the grace of God. We can prosper financially through Christ that gives us those business ideas. We can do those things that we thought were too difficult through Christ. We can make it in life through Christ who has made us who we are in God.

Be blessed as you go into this new day and let’s continue to scatter this phrase: I____(your name) can do it! I can do ALL things through Christ.

Loving Regards,

#wordscattering# – Matthew 17:20 – Speak to the mountain!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 21st of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name!

Still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# and taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

We started looking at the mountain and how every mountain will become a plain by the power (in the presence) of God. Today let’s look at another scripture that talk about mountain in the book of Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (NIV)

In this scripture, Jesus was telling the disciples (and you & I) that: if we can just have a lil’bit of faith (even as small as a mustard seed) – then we can actually say to the mountain: Move! and it will move. If we can exercise our faith and decree things then whatsoever we say will come to pass. If we can open our mouth and speak the Word by faith then nothing (= NO thing) will be impossible for us. Today, let’s practice scattering this scripture by commanding some mountains to move and expect to see the manifestation of what we say.

So now, by faith let’s say – You mountain of sickness – I command you to move now in Jesus name. You mountain of poverty move now. You mountain of delay, move now in Jesus name. You mountain of frustration/confusion, move now. You mountain of non-achievement, move now in Jesus name. You mountain of lack/insufficiency, move now. You mountain of stagnancy, move now in Jesus name. You mountain of failure, move now. You mountain, hindering the propagation of the gospel, move now in Jesus name. You mountain of barrenness, move now in Jesus name. You mountain of prayerlessness, move now. You mountain _____ (add another), move now in the mighty Name of Jesus….Amen!

As we continue this day/week/month/year — Let’s continue to exercise our faith by scattering the phrase: You mountain___ move from here now!

Have a victorious day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#wordscattering# – Zech 4 vs. 6 -7 – Who are you, O mountain?

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 20th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name!

As we continue in this month of September – still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# and taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

Today let’s look further at the scripture in the book of Zechariah Chapter 4 verses 6 & 7 says:

7For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it! (AMPL)

7 ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!'” (MSG)

7 “Who are you, big mountain? In front of Zerubbabel you will become flat land, and he will bring out the topmost stone, shouting, ‘It’s beautiful! It’s beautiful!’ ” (NCV)

The angel continues his discussion with Zechariah and with reference to the mountain that was before Zerubbabel — Who are you, O mountain? The mountains being referred to here represent challenges & oppositions that was before Zerubbabel as he was trying to built the temple. The word to Zerubbabel was that no matter how big the mountain is — it will become a plain by God’s grace— it is by God’s Spirit that the Temple will be completed. And that Zerubbabel should not fear anything. It will be done through God’s help.

My dear! This is the word coming to us as well today – Who are you, O mountain? – Who are you, O financial hardship? Who are you, O sickness? Who are you, O joblessness? Who are you, O marital problem? Who are you, O failure? Who are you, O mountain ____? (add another)…. you will become a plain by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we go into this day & week – let’s continue to scatter: Who are you, O mountain?… by the power of the Holy Spirit every mountain before us will be removed.

Enjoy a victorious day in the presence of the Lord.

#wordscattering# – Zech 4 vs. 6 – By His Spirit….

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 19th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Today let’s look at the Book of Zechariah Chapter 4 – In this scripture the angel of the Lord was discussing the vision of the gold lampstand and two olive trees with Zechariah – but Zechariah couldn’t really understand what these symbols meant. The angel’s response is highlighted in verse 6: This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but BY MY SPIRIT, says the Lord of hosts (AMPL)

My dear! This Word of the Lord coming to us today is that: It is not by our power nor by our might… but by the Spirit of the Lord. Many people believe that to survive in this world a person must be tough, strong, unbending, and harsh. But God says: Not by force, nor by strength, but by My Spirit!

This phrase – “By my Spirit” – means: it’s only through God’s Spirit that anything of lasting value is accomplished. It’s through God”s Spirit that we receive the grace (undeserved favor) that we need in life. God is the One who gives the inspiration & wisdom to we need to succeed in all that we lay our hands upon. God is the One who gives us the strength to go through those difficult times. God is the One who opens the door that no one else can open. God is the One who supplies the resources to go through this opened door. God is the One who gives us the favor & strength we need to keep this door of opportunity opened.

As we continue in this month of September — let’s be determined not to trust only in our strength and abilities – but depend on God (= the power of His Spirit).

Have a Spirit-filled week/day and let’s continue to scatter: By His Spirit…. I have the ability to do all things!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#He”sable#

Hey TGIFriday!,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 16th of September 2011 – a new month that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because Jehovah Rehoboth will make a way for us where there looks to be no way this season in Jesus Name!

We are taking time to actually scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart as we continue to consider the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED#.

As we go into this weekend – let’s be blessed as we listen to the lyrics of this song – #He’sable# by Darwin Hobb (in Voice of Unity) — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIAGWndg2Fw

My dear! Let’s go into this weekend rejoicing because…God is able to do just what He says He would do. God is going to fulfill every promise He has made to us. God is going to do whatsoever He has said He will do. As the scripture in the book of Number 23: 19 says: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He speak and then not fulfill”.

Let’s go into this weekend with expectation because #He’sable#  – Let’s continue to hold on to His promise because #He’sable#  – Let’s not give us on God because #He’sable# – Let’s go into this new day/weekend scattering/declaring: #Godisable#

Enjoy a glorious day and weekend.

Loving Regards,

#wordscattering# – What is God saying specifically 2 U?

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 15th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have taken some time to look at the account of what the LORD said to the people of Israel and how He brought all the promises He made to them to pass (using Isaiah 43 & Exodus 14)

Today, I want us to ask ourselves this question: What is God saying specifically to me as an individual? What promise has God made to me?  What is the scripture that I’m holding on to? What is that part of the scripture that has brought me through so far?  What is that thing that I am believing God to do in my life? What is the prophetic word that I have received from God? What is the promise God gave me at the beginning of the year that is still yet to be fulfilled? What is the seed of the Word that I am scattering (confessing)?

My dear!  The Word of encouragement coming to us today is that: What God is saying specifically to U & I will definitely come to pass — because the scripture in the book of Number 23: 19 says: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He speak and then not fulfill”

As we continue in this season — let make sure we are scattering the seed of the Word = the scripture/promise that God has made to us. And let’s be expectant of the fulfillment of this promise.

Have a blessed and highly favored day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#wordscattering# – Isaiah 43:19 – Something new!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 14th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Today let’s look at some of the other things that God is saying as highlighted in the book Isaiah 43 vs 19 – “See I am doing a new thing!… I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wastelands.

My dear! What is the Lord saying today? – He is saying to you and I that: He is doing something new (A new thing! A new way!) — He is doing some new things in the spiritual realm that is about to manifest in the physical. He is making ways where there seems to be no way. He is doing some “humanly impossible” things. He is manifesting His healing power in cases that have been called “terminal”. He is opening doors that seems to have been securely locked by human security. He is doing the impossible. He is stepping into that situation that people have said is “hopeless”. He is making some divine connections in the spirit realm that will come to light this season. He is bringing answers to some specific questions that we have been asking for a long time. He is doing brand new things in our life and life of our loved ones.

My dear! as we go into this new day – let’s scatter and declare – I’m walking in newness of life! – because God is doing a new thing in my life now.

Enjoy this new life!

Loving Regards,

#wordscattering# – Isaiah 43:18 – Forget the past!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 13th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Yesterday we started looking at the scripture in the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 vs. 16: “This is what the LORD says….” And we took time to understand who the LORD who is saying these things. Let’s continue today by looking at some of the things the LORD is saying – as highlighted in verse 18: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past”

So what is the Lord saying to us today? – The LORD is saying to you and I that we should – Forget the past!!

My dear! The LORD is saying: Forget all that has happened to you in the past. He is saying: let go of that pain and hurt. He is saying: Take your eyes off those problems and fix your eyes on Jesus. He is saying: Forgive that person that has hurt you. He is saying; Don’t allow your past experiences to stop you from moving forward. He is saying: Don’t allow past failures/mistakes to prevent you from stepping out in faith. He is saying: Don’t allow the outcome of that business proposal to stop you from taking this new opportunity. He is saying: Don’t allow the experience of past relationship stop you from trusting/loving again. He is saying: Don’t allow what you have been through in life to hinder you from being the best that God has created you to be.

My dear! let’s take time to scatter this phrase: I forget the past!… and let’s begin to move forward in the power and might of the Lord.

Have a victorious week!

#wordscattering# Isaiah 43:16 -Who is the LORD?

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 12th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The scripture in the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 verse 16a says: This is what the LORD says….(NIV)

Before we look at what the Lord says –I want us to pause and ask this question: Who is the LORD that is saying these things? Verses16b & 17 goes on to give us a list that helps to understand the LORD who is saying these things in this scripture.

1). He is the LORD who made a way through the waters. 2). He is the LORD who made a dry path through the mighty waters (Red sea) for the Israelites to walk through. 3). He is the LORD who drowned the mighty army of Egypt and their chariots & horses into the sea. 4). He is the LORD who caused destruction to come upon the enemies of the people of Israel.

So I believe this experience that the Israelites had with the Egyptians at the Red sea (full details in Exodus Chapter 14) will cause them to say: The Lord is our way-maker… The Lord is our deliverer… The Lord is our present help in the time of need… The Lord is our Jehovah Nissi… The Lord is the I AM that I AM.. The Lord is our mighty man in battle… The Lord is the El Shaddai… (etcetera).

The question that is coming to you & I this new day is – Who is the LORD to us? Through all our life experiences: What can we say the Lord is to us? With all the situation that we been through: Who can we say the Lord has been to us?

My dear! Let’s take some time to identify: Who the Lord is to us – And as we continue in this new day, let’s scatter/declare all that God is, God has been and God will continue to be… to us with joy and thanksgiving in our heart.

Enjoy a thank-FULL day/week/month!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#Restored#

Hey TGIFriday!,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 9th of September 2011 – a new month that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

As we go into this new month/weekend – let’s be blessed as we listen to the lyrics of this song – #Restored# by J. Moss — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRQYV3Y-JQ

My dear! We have been redeemed… we have been delivered… we have been set free… by the blood. We are free from all forms of guilt and shame. We are free from every form of bondage, shackles, chains, stronghold and struggles of life, We are restored!

Let’s go into this weekend rejoicing for the freedom we have in Christ Jesus – let’s glorify God for the restoration of everything we have lost (Joel 2:25)

Enjoy a “restored” day and weekend.

#wordscattering# – Isaiah 43:5&6 – He will restore…

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 8th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The scripture in the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 verse 5 & 6 says:

Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth— (NIV)

Here God continues to re-affirm to the people of Israel that His mercies and loving-kindness towards them are new every morning. He is telling them not to be afraid of all they have experienced so far because He is with them. God went on to declare that He was going to bring their offspring from the East & West and commanded the North and South to give up what belongs to them. God promised to restore the people of Israel and all that concerns them — by fulfilling the covenant He made with them and their descendants.

My dear! As we continue in this new month – I decree a restoration of everything that we have lost. I declare restoration of lost years/time in every area of our life. I command the North and South to give up all that the Lord has destined for us. I decree every lost dream/vision/ministry be restored this season. I declare restoration of joy & peace that passes human understanding. I command restoration of life to all our physical & spiritual children. I decree a restoration of everything the enemy has stolen by the power of the blood of Jesus.. in Jesus name we pray. Amen!!

As we continue in this new day – let’s scatter: “I am restored….” because the God – Restorer of souls has promised.

Enjoy a victorious September!

Loving Regards,

#wordscattering# – Isaiah 43:3&4 – He will give people….

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 7th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The scripture in the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 verses 3&4 says:

Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in! That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I will give people in exchange for you, I will trade the lives of others because you are precious to me. You are honored and I love you (MSG)

God is saying because He has paid a huge price for the people of Israel – there is no way He will allow anything bad to happen to them. God is saying rather than evil to befall them – He will allow other people to go through in their place.

The Word of God coming to us today is: I will give people…!! because we are so precious to God and He has redeemed us with a huge price (blood of Jesus). So rather than God allowing anything bad to happen to us, He will allow something else to happen. Rather than watch us destroy ourselves by our own actions  and ignorance, He will intervene divinely. Rather than God allowing the cares of this world/lust of the flesh & eyes/issues of life to weigh us down and stop us from fulfilling our destiny, He will step in to rescue and deliver us. Rather than God allowing evil to come upon us, He will trade people/situation/things in exchange for us.

My dear! This understanding should actually give us confidence and cause us to rejoice and be glad – knowing that God understands everything we are going through right now. Everything that we have gone through has a reason. Everything we might be going through will work out for good for us. Everything that happens to us on a daily basis is working towards the fulfillment of this scripture.

Let’s be encouraged and with confidence let’s scatter this phrase: No evil shall befall me… because God has promised to give people/things/situation in exchange for me.

Have a victorious day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#wordscattering# – Isaiah 43: 1-2 – He is with me!!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 6th of September 2011 – a new day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Let’s look at some verses in the book of Isaiah Chapter 43.

The preceding chapter (42) ended with God complaining about the spiritual state of his people – Israel. But in this chapter (43) we see God exhibiting his great mercy and loving-kindness to the people despite their spiritual failure.

Verse 1 & 2 says: But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. – the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you (NLT) – God, (the Creator) was telling the people not to be afraid because they have been redeemed. And He has called and adopted them as His own (children). He promised to be with them so they should not be afraid.

The Word of encouragement coming from the throne of grace to you & I today is — I will be with you!! Emmanuel, Our God says: I will be with you!!

My dear! God is telling us He will be with us when we go through difficulties He will guide us through the thick and thin of life. He will be with us through the storms of life. He will protect us as we go through the “heat” of life. He will take us through every issues that life throws at us. He will guide us step by step so the situation will not consume us physically and spiritually. He will take us through the “ups and downs” of life and bring us out stronger at the end.

My dear! let’s be encouraged knowing that no matter what we are going through – Emmanuel, Our God has promised to be with us. So let’s continue to scatter: God is with me…..!

Have a blessed day!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#Godwillmakeaway#

Hey dear,

Happy New Month!! Happy New September!

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 1st of September 2011 – a new month that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because our expectation shall not be cut off this month in Jesus Name!

As we start this new month, we are still considering G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# — and we are taking time to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart. The scripture in the book of Genesis Chapter 26:22 says 22 abandoning that one, Isaac moved on and dug another well. This time there was no dispute over it, so Isaac named the place REHOBOTH (which means “open space”), for he said, “At last the LORD has created enough space for us to prosper in this land.

We are understand from this scripture that after Isaac moved away from well Ezek & Sitnah because of the quarreling and accusation about the water, he and his men dug a well again. But this time, no one opposed them and they named the place Rehoboth. We see that Isaac and and his men didn’t give up on digging wells. With all the opposition from the people, they continued to make effort believing that one day they will dig a well that no one will contend with.

The Word of God coming to us this 1st day is September is that: We must expect our Rehoboth! We must expect God to make room i.e. make a way for us this new month of September.

My dear! As we start this new month, I declare that we are walking into our Rehoboth. I decree that a way will be made where there looks like there is no way this month. I declare that we have all that we need to walk in abundance this month. I decree that new room/space i.e. new opportunity is coming our way each day of this month. I declare that we have “enough space” i.e. wisdom, resources, finances that we need in order to prosper in all that we lay our hand upon this month of September.

Let’s go into this new month with great expectation — knowing that we have come to our “Rehoboth” – place of prosperity… place of abundance!

Enjoy a glorious September!

#WordScattering# – Genesis 26 vs. 21- Expect accusation!!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for Wednesday, the 31st of August 2011 the last day of August. Thank God it’s a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because now is the set time for a new beginning. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been considering the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# — and how it’s important to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

Let’s continue this series of #WordScattering# by considering the story of Isaac and the conflict over the dug well (water) in the book of Genesis Chapter 26 – vs.21 says:  21Isaac’s men then dug another well, but again there was a dispute over it. So Isaac named it Sitnah (which means “accusation”).

After being forced to move away from well “Ezek” –  Isaac’s men had a similar encounter when they dug another well in Sitnah – their new location. The people in this new neighborhood accused them and were hostile to them and they had to move again.

My dear! As we scatter the Word and wait for the physical manifestation – we must expect accusation!! We must expect the “accuser of the brethren” (the devil) to accuse us before God (Rev.12vs 10). We must expect the devil will try to bring up iniquity/wrongdoing/sin. We must expect that the devil will try to tell us how we dont deserve the blessings of God. We must expect the enemy to attack our heart and conscience. We must expect the enemy will want to bring up our past. We must expect the enemy will try to make us walk in guilt and shame. We must expect satan will try to stand to oppose us in the presence of God (Zech 3vs. 1)

But we thank God because Jesus is our defense attorney – He seats at the right hand of God interceding for us. We thank God for the blood of Jesus which answers all accusations of the devil. We thank God for the GRACE.. the undeserved favor that we enjoy through our Savior Jesus Christ. We thank God because it is this grace that qualifies us for the blessing of God.

As we go into this new day — let’s remember it’s by grace that we are saved through our faith in Jesus and not by works. And the “accuser” – the devil has been defeated at the cross of Calvary.

Enjoy an “accuse-free” day/seasonJ!

#WordScattering# – Genesis 26 vs. 19 -20 – Expect argument!!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 30th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Let’s continue this series of #WordScattering# by considering the story of Isaac and the conflict over the dug well (water) in the book of Genesis Chapter 26 vs.1920

19 Isaac’s servants also dug in the Gerar Valley and discovered a well of fresh water.20 But then the shepherds from Gerar came and claimed the spring. “This is our water,” they said, and they argued over it with Isaac’s herdsmen. So Isaac named the well Esek (which means “ARGUMENT”).

In the preceding verses (vs.16-18) – Abimelech had ordered Isaac to leave the country because they were jealous and intimidated because of the blessing of the Lord in his life. The Philistines wanted to frustrate Isaac so much that they even went to the extent of throwing dirt & debris into the wells that Abraham (Isaac’s father) had dug. The bible then records that Isaac moved as he was told to and he decided to dig a well at his new location (Gerar Valley) but the people in that neighborhood argued over this well with him. And he named this “well Esek”

My dear! The Word of encouragement coming to us as we continue to scatter the Word into our situation is that – We must expect an argument!! We must expect a battle in our mind. We must expect a struggle between our spirit and our flesh as we seek to believe the Word.  We must expect a conflict between what we believe and what we see. We must expect a war between the desires of our flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit in us. We must expect a fight between our will and the will of God. We must expect an inner battle as we wait in expectation for the physical manifestation of what we have said.

As we wait in expectation of the fulfillment of the Word we are “scattering” – May the Holy Spirit will help us to stay focused on God so that we can win the battle in our mind.

Have a victorious day!

#WordScattering# – Genesis 26 vs. 12 – Expect a harvest!!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 29th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

Let’s continue this series of #WordScattering# by considering a story in the book of Genesis Chapter 26 – The account of Isaac and the conflict he had over the right of water (dug wells). In verse 12 – Isaac planted seed in that land, and that same year he gathered a great harvest. The Lord blessed him very much, – We are told here that the Isaac planted his crops and in the same year he reaped 100-times more grain than he planted because the Lord blessed him. Isaac’s harvest came in the same year/season that he planted his seeds – God prospered him and he became very wealthy to the point that the Philistines became jealous of Him.

My dear! The Word of encouragement coming to us today from this story is that: We must expect a harvest this season!! We must expect a result from the Word we are scattering (confessing) this season. We must expect that the Word of God we are confessing will come to pass now. We must expect an immediate change as we continue to declare the Word. We must expect a divine shift to take place this season as we speak the Word. We must expect a fulfillment of the promise God has spoken to us. We must expect to see the physical manifestation of the Word we are confessing.

As we keep on scattering the Word – let’s raise our level of expectation and declare: I expect the harvest now!!

Have an expectant week/day

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#SayTheName#

Hey TGIFriday!,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 26th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because now is the set time for a new beginning. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still considering the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# — and how it’s important to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart. We have tagged August the month of #WordScattering# and as continue to scatter i.e. declare the Word of God this season – let’s be blessed as we listen to the lyrics of the song – #SayTheName# by Martha Munizzi

My dear! when we don’t know what else to pray let’s say the Name of Jesus – because there’s power in the name… there is deliverance in the Name of Jesus… there is healing in the Name of Jesus… there is victory in the name of Jesus.

As we continue in this season of #wordscattering# — let’s continue to declare and confess: The Name of Jesus

Enjoy a blessed and highly favored day and weekend.

#Wordscattering# – John 14 vs. 13

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 25th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The next scripture I want us to look at is in the book of John 14:13  – And if you ask for anything in my name, I will do it for you so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son (NCV)

In this scripture – Jesus was admonishing the disciples as He was preparing to leave them – He took time to encourage them to continue to believe and hold on to those things He had taught them. He then gave them a #blankcheck# (so to say)… by telling them if they ask anything in His Name, He will do it so that the Name of the Lord will be glorified.

My dear! You and I (as believers) have also been given this #blankcheck# — We have been given the privilege to ask anything we desire in the Name of Jesus and we will have what we have asked for. We have been given the opportunity to seek the Lord and we will find him as we seek Him with the whole of our heart. We have been given the right to knock on that door of opportunity and it will be opened unto us. We have the confidence to ask anything in the Name of Jesus and we will see the manifestation of what we have asked God for.

As we continue in this great day — let’s use this #blankcheck# and write what we want on it in the Name of Jesus using the blood of Jesus as our ink .

Let’s keep scattering – The Name of Jesus over every situation and let’s keep asking in the Name of Jesus!

Have a blessed and highly favored week.

Loving Regards,

#WordScattering# – Philippians 2 vs. 9-11

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 24th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because now is the set time for a new beginning. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We are still considering the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# — and how it’s important to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

The next scripture I want us to look at is in the book of Philippians 2: 9-11 –Therefore, God exalted him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (NLT)

Here we are being told that the Name of Jesus is exalted above every other name in heaven and in the earth. Then it goes on to say that at the mention of the Name of Jesus two definite things must happen — every knee must bow…every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord of lords.

My dear! As we continue in this season – we declare in Jesus Name that every knee in the form of… a stubborn/difficult situation, stronghold, hindrance, delay, opposition etc… must bow. We decree that every tongue that has risen or that will rise up against us is condemned in the Name of Jesus. We declare in the Name of Jesus that everything contrary to the plan of God for our life must bow. We decree that every negative word or evil pronouncement spoken against us is condemned in Jesus Name.

As we continue to scatter the phrase: In Jesus Name — let’s be expectant because every “knee” will bow and every “tongue” will confess the Lordship of Jesus this season.

Have a victorious day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Acts 3 vs. 16

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 23rd of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The next scripture I want us to look at is in the book of Acts 3 (verse 16) By faith in the Name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ Name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.

Still the story of the crippled man that was healed at the Beautiful gate. The man was walking & praising and the people around were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to the man. Then Peter explained to the people in this verse that it was faith in the name of Jesus that has made this happen.

My dear! As we continue to scatter the phrase: In Jesus Name — I want us to remind ourselves that it’s not just the declaration of the Name of Jesus but the faith that we have in the power that is in the Name of Jesus that brings about miracles. Let’s remember that when we pray in the Name of Jesus, it is Christ himself, not merely the sound of His name, who gives our prayers the power to bring results.

As continue in this season of #wordscattering# — let’s remember to add our faith to every confession and declaration we make in the #NameofJesus#.

Have a faith-filled day and week!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Acts 3 vs. 6

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 22nd of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The next scripture I want us to look at is in the book of Acts 3 (verse 6) – 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”

This is the account of the crippled beggar who was healed at the Beautiful gate as Peter and Paul were on their way to the temple at the time of prayer. This man who had been crippled from birth usually stays at the entrance of the temple to beg as the people make their way into the temple. Then one day he saw Peter and John going into the temple and he asked them for money as his usual practice. But we were told Peter offered him the greatest gift of all – the name of Jesus. Peter told him to “get up and walk”  in the Name of Jesus.

My dear! The #WordScattering# phrase for today is: “In the Name of Jesus” – As we go into this new day – I decree in the Name of Jesus that – we get up and start to do those things that have looked impossible. I declare in the Name of Jesus that we stand up and walk into the fullness of the divine purpose of God for our life. I decree in the Name of Jesus that we rise up and start to possess our possessions. I declare in the Name of Jesus that we are moving forward into the perfect will of God for our life. I decree in the Name of Jesus that we arise and walk in the divine favor of God this season. I declare in the Name of Jesus that we rise above everything that looks like a mountain in our life.

As we continue in this great day — Let’s speak to every impossible situation in our way #inJesusName#

Enjoy a day & week of miracles, signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus… #inJesusName#

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Still considering the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED# — and how it’s important to scatter the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart. #WordScattering# – Psalm 102 vs. 13

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 18th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The next scripture I want us to look at is Psalm 102 verse 13

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to FAVOR her, Yes, the set time (designated moment), has come (Ampl)
We are being told in this scripture that: The set time for God’s favor is now… today… this season!! This is the time of God’s favor. This is the season that God has promised to favor us in every area of our life. What we need to do is to take time to study, meditate, believe, speak the Word until we see the physical manifestation in our life.
My dear! As we continue in this season — let’s scatter this phrase: This is my time of favor!! We declare that now is the time for God’s divine intervention. We decree that this is time for God to show Himself strong in our behalf. We declare that this is the time for us to walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for our life. We decree that now is the set time for ultimate breakthrough in our marital, financial, physical, emotional & spiritual life. We declare this is the time for divine favor. We decree that this is time to experience the miraculous hand of God in every area of our life.

Go ahead this season and scatter this phrase: This is my time of favor!!

Loving regards,

Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Psalm 5 vs 12

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 17th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The next scripture that I want us to look at is Psalm 5:12 – For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your FAVOR as with a SHIELD (NIV)

The Psalmist is telling us here that: The Lord has blessed us and has surrounded us with His goodwill –His pleasure and His favor. This favor as the scripture says is like a SHIELD — A shield is a device that is used to defend…something like a protective cover or barrier. A shield is used in defensive warfare to preserve something or someone and to make the missiles of the enemy glide off the target more easily.

The phrase we want to scatter today is: “I have favor like a shield”We are surrounded by the favor that will prevent all the fiery dart of the enemy from reaching us. We are surrounded with favor that preserve us from everything that might be contrary to the Word of God. We are surrounded by favor so every missile (voice) of the enemy will not be able to reach us.

My dear! Favor as a shield is something that the Lord has blessed us with and is available to us every blessed day. But as you know if a soldier at war refuses to put his shield on, he will definitely be exposed to the missiles of the enemy. This is just the same way if we don’t put on “favor as a shield” – by declaring and agreeing with the Word of God. Then we are bound to be exposed to the voice of the enemy and favor might not work for us as it should.

So as we continue in this season -- let's keep "scattering" (declaring) FAVOR in every area of our life and in every situation that comes our way.
Enjoy this #wordscattering# season....keep surrounding yourself with the “shield of favor”
Loving Regards,
Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Exodus 12 vs. 36

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 16th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

The 1st scripture I want to “scatter” is Exodus Chapter 12 verse 36 — The account of the “Exodus of the Israelite”: This was when Pharaoh eventually gave up holding on to the people of Israel after seeing the hand of the Lord — He decided to let them go after seeing all the devastation that came through the 10 plagues that God sent — Pharaoh & his people were so scared of what they had experienced. Then we are told in this verse that the Lord made sure Pharaoh’s people favored the Israelites and gave them all that they asked for as they prepared to leave Egypt.

36 The LORD had made the Egyptians FAVORABLY DISPOSED toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians (NIV)

36 The LORD made sure that the Egyptians were KIND to the people so that they let them have whatever they asked for. And so they robbed the Egyptians.(CEB)

36 God saw to it that the Egyptians LIKED the people and so readily gave them what they asked for. Oh yes! They picked those Egyptians clean (MSG)

My dear! The #WordScattering# today is that – Everyone we come across will be “favorably disposed” towards us. We speak the favor of the Lord over our life. We declare that as we walk in divine favor — whatsoever we ask for will be given to us. We decree that the wealth of the Gentiles is ours. We declare that we are set free from every form of “Pharaoh” in our life. We speak peace to every stormy situation in our life. We decree that we have whatsoever God has promised us in His Word. We declare: this is our time of favor! We confess that we have favor in the sight of God and man.

As we continue in this season  – may the goodness, mercy & favor of the Lord continue to follow and be with us in all that we lay our hands upon.

Now let’s continue to scatter: Favor! Favor! Favor……!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Action time!

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 15th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because now is the set time for a new beginning. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been considering the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T i.e. GodConnection in regards to the #SEED#, using the Parable of the Sower/four soils” in Matt 13:4a – As he scattered the seeds across the field…. We have also looked at the importance of scattering the seed of the Word that we have gathered in our heart.

And this month of August has been tagged – the month of #WordScattering#. By this we mean: This is the time where we will confess the Word into our situation and see an immediate change. This is the time where we will decree things in the name of Jesus and see them come to pass in. This is the time where we will declare the complete counsel of God over our life. This is the time we will speak those things that “be not as though they are”. This is the time where we will speak by faith in the Word of God.

My dear! it’s action time! — Therefore, for the next couple of weeks, we will be looking together at specific scriptures that relates to different situation and activities of life. We will read, study, meditate and confess the Word together. We will apply the Word together. We will use the Word to pray together. We will believe and expect to see the manifestation of the Word. And we will encourage one another as we wait for the manifestation of the Word.

As we know our relationship with God is personal – sometimes the Word I feel laid in my heart to scatter might not be what you are scattering at that time. So please feel free to share any scriptures that God has laid in your heart as well.

May God help us as we take this practical steps together. I believe the Word of God will not return void but will definitely accomplish what it has been sent to do. (Isaiah 55:11)

Enjoy this scattering season!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

#EncourageYourself#

Hey TGIFriday!,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 12th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged August the month of #WordScattering# and as we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word of God this season – let’s be blessed as we listen to the lyrics of the song by Donald Lawrence & Co: #EncourageYourself#

My dear! It’s time for us to encourage ourselves… It’s time to speak the Word over ourselves… It’s time to speak victory in the storm….It’s time to declare the truth of the Word of God to that situation….

As we continue in this new month of #wordscattering# — let’s continue to encourage ourselves in the Lord = in the Word!!

Have a Word-filled weekend.

#WordScattering# – Action of Thorns!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 9th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged the month of #WordScattering# – but before we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word — let’s look another important aspect of #WordScattering# in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13)

7 Other seed [of the same kind] fell among thorn plants, and the thistles grew and pressed together and utterly choked and suffocated it, and it yielded no grain. (AMPL)

Yesterday, we started talking about the thorns (concern for the world). Let’s look further at the action of the “thorns” —

1). The thorns starve the seed by sucking away all the nutrient available for the seed, and as there is only a certain quantity of nourishment in the soil – and if the thorns have it, then the seed must go without it. There is only a certain amount of thought and energy in a person; and if the world gets it, Christ cannot have it. If our thoughts are engaged with the care and pleasure of the world, then it cannot be effective when it comes to the things of the Kingdom (Word of God)

2). The thorns chokes the seed by keeping off the air and sun; the seed then became shriveled and weak, and unable to produce any good fruit. So it is with many “believers” — they are at first worldly, but not very worldly. They are fairly religious, but not too zealous. They seek the riches/pleasures of the world, but not quite as much as others around them. But very soon the thorns grow, and it becomes doubtful which will win: the world (sin) or (Word) Christ.

3). The thorns eventually takes over and the seed dies – There can’t be 2 masters so we must make a choice between God or mammon, the Word or the world, sinful life or holy life.

My dear! A life packed with materialistic pursuit will eventually crowd out the Word of God and make it an unfruitful life.

As we continue in this month of August – let’s take time to get rid of those things that are thorn-like in our life – cos it’s either we are in this thing (called Christianity) for real or not.

May God help us as we seek to live a thorn-free life!

Loving Regards

Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Thorns

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 8th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged the month of #WordScattering# – but before we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word — let’s look at another important aspect of #WordScattering# in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) — 7 Other seeds fell among THORNS that GREW up and CHOKED OUT the tender plants (NLT)

Here we are told that some seeds fell among thorns – Thorn(s) is described in the Epistles as the care/worries of this world, the deceitfulness of riches (Matt 13:22), the pleasures of this life (Luke 8:14) and the lusts of other things (Mark 4:19). Looking closely at this verse:

The THORNS as the riches of the world is not just money and the things it buys, but the totality of attractive things the world offers — fame, power, glamour, social esteem, a life that is committed to the “creatures” but neglect the Creator.

And we are then told that these seeds that fell among thorns lived and continued to GROW until a time that the thorns begins to choke them. This means the thorns are actually choking the Word out of people who are actually “believer”… those who know/believe the Word and are members of a church; but whose religion seems to be buried beneath their worldliness.

Finally, we are told that these seed plant is CHOKED OUT by the thorns – the thorn chokes out the Word by working on people’s thoughts and distracting them from what should be their main concern. The thorns chokes out the word by turning people’s attention from doing God’s will as expressed in the Word of God.

As we continue in this season – May the Lord open our eyes to see those “thorns” in our path so that we can consciously control and remove them from our way/thought/life.

Enjoy a “thorn” free day!

#LawOfConfession#

Hey TGIFriday!,

Thank God for today, Friday, the 5th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged August the month of #WordScattering# and as we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word of God this season – let’s be blessed as we listen to the lyrics of the song by Donald Lawrence & Co: #Law of Confession# – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyL3km9Hqxc.

My dear! It’s time for us to operate the Law of confession. It’s time to use the simple formula/principle of confession. It’s time to say what has been said.

As we continue in this new month of #wordscattering# — Let’s start to say what God has said… let’s start to speak the Word to our situation… let’s start to confess the Word of God over our life.

Have a Word-filled weekend. Loving Regards,Temidayo

#WordScattering# – Stony Place

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 4th of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged the month of #WordScattering# – but before we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word — let’s look another important aspect of #WordScattering# in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) – 5Some fell on ROCKY PLACES, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

Here we are told that some of the seeds that were scattered fell on rocky soil with stones. In the Jewish terms, a stony/rocky place is like a barren place which “is not fit for sowing”

Therefore, as stony place can be said to represent the people who are naturally hard-hearted and remain unbroken by the word. This represents people who are without any true sense of sin, and repentance for it.  This stony place represents the hearts of people without firm or true conviction. This can represent the people who believe the Word but never get round to doing anything about it. This stony place can represent people who allow the different persecutions, troubles & trials of life to take the Word of God from their heart. This can represent a person who refuses to continue to feed his/her soul with the Word. This can represent who are not committed to doing the things that can strengthen our faith. These represents people who actually believe the Word but have allowed the pressure of what they are going through to “choke” the Word from their life. This represents those who have failed the “test of faith”.

My prayer as we continue in this #WordScattering# season is that: We will continue to trust in God and not in man so that we will not be affected by the “pressure & heat” of life (Jeremiah 17:7&8)

As we continue in this new month — Let’s keep our trust in the Almighty God!!

Loving Regards,

Temiday

#WordScattering# – Wayside

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 3rd of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged the month of #WordScattering# – but before we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word — let’s look closer at some important aspect of #WordScattering# in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) –4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a FOOTPATH and the birds came and ate them” (NLT) — And as he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and ate them (AMPL) —

We are told that some of the good seeds the farmer scattered fell on the wayside and the birds came and ate the seeds before they could even germinate.

The footpath or wayside represent people who simply don’t understand the Word or refuse to believe the word of God when it is presented to them. And the birds represents the “wicked one” (presumably the devil), then comes to take the seed away before it can take any root at all in the person’s heart.

My prayer as we continue in this #WordScattering# season will be the prayer in the scripture – O Lord! help our unbelief and increase our faith (Matt4:24)

Have a faith-filed month!!

#WordScattering#: Various places!!

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 2nd of August 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord.

We have tagged August the month of #WordScattering# – but before we start to scatter i.e. declare the Word the Word together — let’s look at some important aspect of #WordScattering# in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13)

4 As he scattered them across his field, some SEEDS FELL on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other SEEDS FELL on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. 7 Other SEEDS FELL among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other SEEDS FELL on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” (NLT)

Looking at the scripture – we see that the farmer sowed good seeds but not all of them sprouted. We are told the seeds fell in various places: some on footpath, some on shallow soil with underlying rock, some among thorns & some on fertile soil. These various places signifies the various kinds of “hearers” of the word. These various places implies different spiritual states or level which exist.  These various places represent the different ways people respond to the Word of God. These various places can also represent the different phases or times in a person’s life. These various places represent the different level of faith that people operate in.

With this understanding in mind as we start to scatter the seed of the Word into the life of people this season – We should not be weary if it seems we are sowing the seed of the Word and not all of it is bring forth the results we desire. We should not be discouraged if it seems we do not see the results we expect. We should not give up if we don’t see the fulfillment of the Word we have spoken to that situation.

But we must be encouraged knowing that God through the Holy Spirit is the One who will cause the Word to germinate and bring increase  — as the scripture in the book of 1 Corin. 3:6  I  (Paul)) planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.

May God strengthen us as we continue in this #WordScattering# season.

G = GodConnection: #SEED# = Lots of them

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 25th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection#. Now let’s consider a few things under the “How” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. how do we plant seeds? To get a good understanding of this — let’s look at the “Parable of the Sower /Four soils” – a story that Jesus told the people in the book of Matthew 13 — Verse 3 says: He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some SEEDS (NLT)

The b part of the scripture says the Verse 3 says: the farmer planted some seeds — I guess he must have walked across the field and threw handfuls of seed from the huge amount of seed packed in a large bad slung across his shoulder. The farmer planted seeds NOT just 1, 2 or 3 seeds but lots of seeds.

The Word of the lord coming to is today is that – just like a farmer for a the farming season by gathering a lot of seeds in his bag ready for sowing so also we must take time to gather “lots” of scriptures in our heart. We must hide the Word of God in our heart. We must seek to know the Word which relates to different areas of life. We must gather a lot of positive thinking in our heart. We must think on those things that Paul highlighted in the book of Philippians 4:8

As we continue in this season – let take time to study and allow the Word of God to dwell in our heart richly so that we will have enough of the seed of the Word in us and to share with others.

Enjoy your gathering time!

Thank God for today, Friday the 22nd Day of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for God will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season in Jesus name. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – #GodConnection# as it relates to us delighting in God. We said we need to cultivate our heart so that the seed of the word will be able to germinate in our life — and we will be able to bring forth good and ripe fruit

G = GodConnection: #SEED# – Cultivate the soil

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 21st of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection#. Another thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. planting seeds is – what to do to cultivate the soil?

Before a farmer begins to plant the seeds in the ground, he usually prepares the soil – by tilling/break up the soil using some equipment, adding some fertilizer and watering. The scripture in the book of Hebrews 3:7-8 says –That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – as a farmer takes time to cultivate the soil before planting the seeds – we also must take time to prepare our heart for the Word. We need to cultivate our heart by spending time in worship & prayer. We need to cultivate our heart by getting rid of every weights that so easily besets us. We need to cultivate our heart by being still in the presence of God. We need to cultivate our heart by aligning our thought with the way of God. We need to cultivate our heart by being at peace with all men. We need to cultivate our heart by emptying ourselves of everything that can hinder us from close fellowship with God. We need to cultivate our heart by stirring up the gift of love that has been put in our heart by the Holy Spirit.  We need to cultivate our heart by taking time to read, study, meditate on the Word of God.

As we continue in this new day – May God grant us the grace we need to cultivate our heart so that our life will be able to bring forth good and ripe fruit.

Go ahead and start the #heartcultivation# today!!

G = GodConnection: #SEED# – The soil…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 20th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain. Another thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEED” i.e. planting seeds is – What kind of soil do we need to have in order to plant a particular type of seed?

Just like a farmer tends to look for a fertile ground to plant the seeds so also we should endeavor plant the seed of the Word into our faith-filled heart. As the Word says in the book of Ezekiel 36 verses 26 – 27 — I will give you a NEW HEART and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your HEART OF STONE and give you a HEART OF FLESH. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. (NIV)

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – The kind of soil i.e. the state of the heart of the person receiving the Word is very important. We must have a heart that is fit for receiving the “good seed” of the Word. We must have a heart that is willing to embrace the word. We must have a heart that is full of faith. We must develop a tender and responsive heart. We must have a heart that is not “carnal” but a  “spiritual”. We must have a heart that is God-willed and not self-willed. We must have a humble heart that will be eager to hear and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit of God. We must develop a new appetites, new passions for the things of the Kingdom. We must have a heart that that can feel love to God and to all men. We must have a heart that can be a proper habitation for the living God. We must have a heart of flesh and not of stone.

As we continue in this season – let our prayer be the prayer of the Psalmist (in Psa. 51:10) — Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. May the Lord create in us a new heart – new spirit so that we can remain connected with God all the days of our life.

G =GodConnection: #SEED# – The kind

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 19th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We are still looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain.

The 1st thing to consider under the “What” category as we think about “SEEDi.e. planting seeds is – What kind of seed? What should happen to the seed before it is planted? Let’s look at the scripture in the book of Genesis 1: 12 — The earth produced plants with grain for seeds and trees that made fruits with seeds in them. Each seed grew its own kind of plant. God saw that all this was good (NCV) —   The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed according to their own kinds and trees bearing fruit in which was their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good (suitable, admirable) and He approved it (AMPL)

The farmer need to know the kind of seed he’ll be planting – whether it’s a corn, mango or tomato seed. He also needs to check that the seed is mature enough to be planted and has not been damaged by insects. He then need to believe that the the seed will be viable after it is planted.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that: We need to consider the “kind of seed”… And as a farmer takes time to check the seeds before he plants so also we need to check the Word of God… examine the Word on a daily basis. We need to know the kind of Word we are planting…. We need to know the appropriate words to declare to that situation. We need to believe the Word…. We need to believe that the Word we speak will bring forth what it has been sent to do. We must study & meditate the Word on a daily basis so that we can get the word that is specific to our needs.

My prayer as we continue in this season is that – we will receive the grace to study the Word and the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to see and give us a heart to understand the Word so that we can start to plant the right seed of the Word into our situation.

Enjoy your planting season!!

G – GodConnection – #SEED# – The Word

Thank God for today, Monday, the 18th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been looking at G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = #GodConnection# as it relates to delighting in God and how our sole purpose in life is to produce fruits… good & ripe fruits that will remain. Another aspect that I want us to consider under this series is the “SEED”. In agricultural terms – without a seed there can’t be production of fruits and without fruits there can’t be seeds to be planted. This is explained by the lifecycle of a seed plant outlined here: {Seed plant – Germinating seed – Mature plant with flowers (with germinated pollen grain on it’s stigma) – Ripe Fruit – with seeds}

Relating this to the scripture in the book of John 12: 24 which says : “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. We can say that for us to produce ripe/good fruits that will remain in our life — there must be SEED(s), which is the Word of God. And this seed(s) i.e. Word of God must be planted into the ground (i.e. the soil of our heart) for it to produce fruits (i.e. fruitful life with godly character).

For the next couple of weeks – we will try and look at the lifestyle of a SEED as it relates to our purpose as children of God (Fruitful life) — under the following categories:

What we need to do in order to plant a seed? How we plant a seed? Where we plant a seed? When we plant a seed? Why we plant a seed?

My prayer is that as we take time to understand the SEED in relation to our connection with God – may our heart desires be granted unto us this season in Jesus name. Amen!!

Have a fruit-full season!

Loving regards,

Temidayo

G = GodConnection – Quality of a Rotten Fruit

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 13th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest this season. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said our sole purpose in life is to produce fruit – to bear good/ripe fruits of our life that will remain as we stay connected to God. Let’s look at another scripture in 2 Peter 1 vs. 5-8 which talks about the qualities of a Ripe Fruit

5 Because you have these blessings, do your best to add these things to your lives: to your FAITH, add GOODNESS; and to your GOODNESS, add KNOWLEDGE;6 and to your KNOWLEDGE, add SELF-CONTROL; and to your SELF-CONTROL, add PATIENCE; and to your PATIENCE, add SERVICE FOR GOD;7 and to your SERVICE FOR GOD, add KINDNESS for your brothers and sisters in Christ; and to this KINDNESS add LOVE.8 If all these things are in you and are growing, they will help you to be useful and productive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NLT)

The attributes highlighted in this scripture are the qualities expected from a life that is connected to God and bearing ripe and good fruits.

So my dear!  As we continue to seek to delight in God – We are to compliment our faith in God with godly & good character. We are to have a desire to increase in our spiritual understanding and service to God. We are to be disciplined and be steadfast in doing what is right. We are to exhibit moral excellence. We are to voluntarily abstain from all pleasure which does not lead to God. We are to be patient and be friendly with people around us. We show love to those we are connected to – family, work, church etc.

Go ahead and share the qualities of your “ripe fruit” with someone 2day!!

G = GodConnection – Fruit: RipeOrRotten‏?

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Monday the 11th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2. Last week we started looking at the fact that our sole purpose in life is to produce fruit – to bear fruits of our life that will remain as we stay connected to God. Another aspect of God connection in relation to fruitfulness we will consider today is the state of the fruits — RipeOrRotten?. The scripture in the book of Matthew Chapter 3:10 says: What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire. (MSG) —  The ax is now ready to cut down the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire (NCV)

Just like a ripe fruit attracts those around it so also the good fruit our life produces will attract the world around us and they will desire to know the One who has nurtured us to produces this kind of fruit. In the same way that a fruit that has fallen from a tree and been on the ground for some days and starts to rot and breeds flies/maggot – so also is a life that produces bad fruit is unattractive to the world around them.

My dear! The Word/question coming to us today is that – Is the fruit of our life ripe or rotten? Are we producing good or bad fruit? Is the fruit of our life attracting people to the Kingdom of God? Is our character drawing people to want to know God? Are we living a life that glorifies God? Can people see the life of God in us? Is our lifestyle able to witness for Christ?

As we continue in this season – let’s remind ourselves that you & I are the epistle that people of the world read on a daily basis- so let’s seek to produce good/ripe fruit that will attract those around us to the Kingdom of God.

Go ahead and share your fruit 2day!

Loving Regards,

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = GodConnection – What kind of Fruit?

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday the 7th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. (NLT)  We said our sole purpose in life is to bear fruit and we must stay connected in order to be able to bear the fruits that will remain. Thinking about this – the question that comes to mind is: What kind of fruit? What kind of fruits are we meant to bear?

People do not judge a tree by its leaves, or bark, or flowers, but by the fruit which it bears. It is by the fruit a tree produces that one is able to know what kind of tree it is e.g. when we see bunch of grapes on a branch we definitely know that the tree must be grapevine tree. So also it is by the fruit of our lives that the world will know whether we are a branch of the True vine or not. It is the fruit of our lives that show if we are “really” abiding in the God and His Word abiding in us. It is the fruit we bear that will show how much connection we have with God and the things of the Kingdom.

My dear! we must bear the fruit of our life — We must bear fruit of a life that is lived in obedience to the Lord. We must bear fruit of a life that is filled and yielded to the Holy Spirit. We must bear fruit of a life that glorifies God. We must bear the fruit of a life that believes and acts on the Word. We must bear the fruit of a life that leads to Christ-like character. We must bear the fruit of a life that seeks 1st the Kingdom of God and all its righteousness. We must bear the fruit of a life that is pleasing to God.

My dear! As we go continue in this season — let’s ask ourselves: What kind of fruit am I producing? May God help us as we seek to stay connected so that we can “bear the fruits” that will remain.

Have a fruit-full day!!

Loving Regards,

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T….GodConnection – Our specific role…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 6th of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God using the scripture in John 15:1&2. We said everyone involved in a relationship have specific roles to fulfill –let’s look further at this – “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
Agricultural research shows that the wood of a vine is absolutely useless for any real purpose – it cannot be used to make tools or furniture because it is too twisted, and in the Old Testament it was even excluded from being used to fuel the fires for the sacrifices in the Temple. Its sole purpose seems to be to live and support the bearing of fruit. The branches of a vine exists for one specific purpose only – “to produce fruit”

In the same way, we must realize that as Christians we exist for no other purpose than to produce fruit for God. This might seem a little harsh, but it really strikes at the heart of the purpose for life. Life is not intended to be about our own satisfaction, for when we focus on that goal it will always elude us. The only way to have satisfaction is to fulfill the purpose for which God saved us and Christ chose us.  If our lives as Christians or our attitude to Church becomes more about our own desires or needs than it is about bearing fruit for God then we will become unfulfilled and will not be pleasing to God.

My dear!  As we continue in this new month of July – let’s be reminded that our role is to “bear fruits”. So let’s make a conscious effort to ensure that we bear “good” fruits on a daily basis. Let’s make sure we bear spiritual fruits that will remain. Let’s ensure that we manifest the fruit of the Spirit every moment of our life. Let’s make sure we bear fruit of good works/character.

Enjoy your fruit-bearing season!!

Loving Regards,

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T….GodConnection – The roles….

Hey dear,.

Thank God for today, Tuesday the 5th July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. As we continue to understand God connection: what? why? when? how? – let’s look further at John 15:1-2:

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. This scripture is the perfect view of the connection between God and the church. Christ is the True vine (head of the Church). The True vine (Christ) is cared for and kept by the gardener, Almighty God Himself. Every branch in the vine is each individual Christian grafted in by the gardener. The same life which is given by the gardener flows through the vine and into the branches. Every branch must be a living, fruit-bearing one. If it bears fruit it will be kept in the vine; if it does not bear fruit it will be taken away.

My dear! The Word coming to us this new day is that – For there to be God connection, there are roles to be fulfilled. For there to be an effective relationship everyone involved must play their role.

Role of the Gardener – To care for True Vine and give it every necessary treatment (e.g. pruning the branches) to cause it to bring forth much fruit.

Role of the True Vine -To sustain the branches and provide the necessary support and nourishment they need for continuous growth.

Role of the Branches – To bear fruit… to bear much fruit.. to bear fruit that will remain.

As we continue in this new month – May we receive the grace we need to fulfill our purpose in life — may we bear fruit in every area of our life as we stay connected to God.

Have a fruitful July….

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Free indeed….

Hey Dear: Happy Independence day!!

Thank God for today, Monday the 4th July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord. Let’s rejoice & be glad because He will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest. Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We have been saying, we must stay connected to the True vine by abiding in Word… allowing the Word to abide in us as stated in John 15 vs. 7.

As we celebrate independence day – let’s link this with the scripture in the book of John 8:36, which says – So if the Son liberates you [sets you free], then you are really and unquestionably free.

My dear! The Word coming to us today (Independence day) is that  – as we abide in God and we really allow the Word to abide in us — then we are free indeed. We are free by the truth of the Word we know and believe. We are free by the power of the Word of God that lives in us. We are free by the resurrection power of God. We are free by the truth of the Word of God we know. We are set free by the Word we believe & confess with our mouth.

As we continue in this season – let’s take time to thank God for the saving grace and the power of the Word which has made us free indeed…

Enjoy your freedom in Christ… have a victorious day!

AbidewithMe!!

Hey TGIFriday!! Happy New Month!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 1st Day of July 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for God will perfect all that concerns us and bring us to our place of rest in Jesus name. Praise God…Hallelujah!

As July is the 7th month of the year and 7 is the number of perfection. Let’s declare this season as the season of “perfection and rest” — a season where God will PERFECT all that concerns us and bring us to our place of REST in Jesus name. Amen!!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We must abide in God and let His word abide with us in order to be able to see the fulfillment of the divine purpose of God in our life.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this hymn “Abide with me”   let’s take time to invite the Tri-une God to abide with us through all the evil days & storms of life. Let’s ask the help of the helpless to abide with us through all those trials & tribulations.

My dear! as we go into this new month of July — let make a conscious effort to really abide in God  and allow the Word to transform us on a daily basis.

Welcome to your season of perfection and rest!!  Have a fruitful month!

God bless,

Temidayo

God connection – How? = “Really” abide…

Hey Dear,

Thank God for Thursday, the 30th… the last day of the month of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, we said we must stay connected to the True vine by abiding in Word… allowing the Word to abide in us. Another version John 15 vs. 7 says: If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you (AMPL)

“If you live in Me {abide vitally united to me}” means: To be wholly occupied with Jesus. To sink the roots of our faith, love and obedience deep down into Him. To come out of every other place and be joined with Jesus Christ our Lord. To give up everything for the privilege of being a part of the body of Christ. To allow Christ to be the first and our all. To be totally occupied with Christ!

My dear! Some thoughts coming to mind as we continue meditating on this scripture – Are we “really” connected with the Trinity? Are we “really” abiding in the Word? Are we “really” remaining in the Lord? Are we “really” living according to God’s precepts? Are we “really” totally committed to the things of the Kingdom of God? Is our character/lifestyle “really”  being transformed by the Word? Are we “really” totally dependent on the True Vine as the branch depends on the tree?

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – How? #1

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 28th day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, God connection must be an every moment thing i.e. We must “remain in” the True vine. We must stay connected to the Trinity every day of our life. Another question we might want to ask is: God connection: How?…how can I remain constant in the True Vine?

To answer this question let’s look at the scripture in the book of John 15:7 –  If you remain in me and my WORDs remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you (NIV). In this scripture, Jesus tells us what it takes to remain in Him is “Remaining in His Word”

My dear! The Word of God coming to us today is that: for us to have a God connection – we must remain in the Word!

The Word of God is powerful and alive sharper than any 2 edged sword so we cannot treat it like other words that go in one ear and out the other. But we must allow the Word of God to guide  our heart. This means we must have regular quiet time which should include Bible Study time. We must take time to confess the Word with every chance we have. We must share the Word with others. We must follow the instructions laid out in the Word. We must hide the Word of God in our heart so that we will not walk in the flesh.

As we continue in this season — let’s make a conscious effort to stay connected because when we do not remain in the Word we start to drift away.

Have a Word-filled day & week!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – When?

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 27th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Let’s continue with God connection: When? when do I need to be connected to the True Vine? To understand and answer this question, let’s look at what the scripture in John 15:4 says –

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (NIV)

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in me. (NCV)

Jesus is telling the disciples in this scripture that they must “remain in” Him and stay connected if they want to continue to be fruitful. That if the disciples choose to remain in Him, He (the True Vine) will help to maintain their fruitfulness. Just like a branch of a tree that has been laying on the ground for weeks cannot continue to grow or stay strong on its own so also can a person who doesn’t ‘remain in” the True Vine continue to function effectively.

To “remain in” means to – stay connected, stay joined, abide, dwell, continue to be, persist, reside, wait, tarry, rest, endure etc.

So to answer the question God connection: When? – when do I need to be connected to the True Vine? Our God connection must be an every moment thing i.e. we must stay connected to God 24-7. We must remain in the presence of the King of kings. We must maintain our relationship with God on a daily basis. We must stay connected to the One who is able to deliver in the good and the bad times. We must maintain a constant fellowship with God in all we do. We must stay connected to God in and out of season. We must seek to know God more on a daily basis.

My dear! As we continue in this season – let’s remind ourselves that our God connection is 24:7 – not something we do today and forget about. But it’s a constant walk to get closer to the One is able to help us maintain our life. Remain in the Him this new day… week… month!

Enjoy your God connection!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

LetUrLivingWaterFlow!!!

Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 24th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We need to stay connected to God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) in order for us to be fruitful and be able to see the fulfillment of the divine purpose of God in our life.

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of this song “Let your living water flow”  –[youtuberrBa0Dw0N3M]and let’s sing to: “The Father, The Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit”.

My dear! as we go into this weekend – let’s invite the presence of the God in to our life afresh. Let’s cast all our cares and burdens unto the Lord. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to move over that situation. Let’s ask for the manifestation of the power of God in all that we lay our hands upon.

Have a spirit-filled weekend!

God bless,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – Why? #2

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 23rd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Yesterday, we looked at the question – God connection: Why? i.e. why do I need this kind of connection… a connection to the True Vine? Let’s take a look at this again today by linking the 2 scriptures below:

Genesis 1:28 – Then God blessed them and said, “Be FRUITFUL and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it… (NLT)

John 15: 5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will BEAR MUCH FRUIT apart from me you can do nothing. (NIV)

The Word coming to us from these 2 scriptures is that: We must be connected to the God in order for us to be fruitful (as God intended for us at creation)… then we must stay connected to God  in order for us to continue to bear more fruit (as God desires for His children).

So my dear! We need to have God connection so that we experience fruitfulness in every area of our life. We must be connected in order for us to manifest the fruit and gift of the Spirit. We must be connected to the King of kings, so that our lines will fall unto us in pleasant places. We must stay connected to the Creator of the whole earth, so that the cattle on a thousand hills can be ours. We must be connected to the One in who everything consists in order for us have everything that pertains to life and godliness. We must stay connected to the One who gives the ability to make wealth so that we can get to our wealthy place. We must be connected to Jehovah –Shalom, so that we can get to our place of rest. We must stay connected to the Tri-une God so that the promises of the Lord which makes rich & adds no sorrow will be ours.

My dear! We got to be connected and continue to dwell in the presence of God so we can see the fulfillment of the plan and purpose of God in our life.

Have a wonderful day!

Loving Regards,

Temiday

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – God connection: Why? #1

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 22nd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. We said that we are expected to have a God connection for us to be able to delight in God. We must be connected to the Vine in order for our desires to be granted unto us. The question someone might want to ask is: God connection: Why? why do I need this kind of connection?… why do I need to be connected to the True Vine? To answer this question – let’s look at John 15 vs. 5, which says: “I am the Vine; you are the branches….(AMPL)

The dictionary defines the vine as a woody plant that depends on an erect substrate to grow on. It derives its support from climbing or creeping along a surface.

From this definition – we can say that Jesus, the True Vine got all the support he needed (while on earth) from God who is the vinedresser. And we (being a branch in the True Vine) must get our support from the True Vine.

So my dear! Just like a tree branch needs a vine to survive – so also you and I (being a branch in the True Vine) need the Trinity to make it through life. We need a God connection because we can’t exist on our own.  We need to be connected because we need the source of life in order to live a fulfilled life. We need to be connected because we need the power of God to strengthen us in those difficult times. We need to be connected because we need the support and guidance of the Holy Spirit every new day. We need to be connected because we won’t survive the storm of life without God in our ship. We need to be connected because there is divine protection with the Vinedresser. We must be connected because everything we need for life and godliness is in the True Vine.

As we continue in this season — let’s endeavor to develop a close link/connection with the Vine dresser and True Vine – the Trinity!!

Enjoy this divine connection!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = God connection – What?

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 21st Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Yesterday, we started looking at the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –  God connection as it relates to us delighting in God. Let’s continue with God connection: What? as we look at what the scripture says in the Book of John 15 vs. 1 & 2a:  I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vine dresser. Any branch in me that does not bear fruit…(AMPL)

Jesus was talking to the disciples in this verse that He is the True Vine, and that God the Father is the Vine dresser and the disciples are the branches.
Interpreting this scripture in the light of this understanding…. we will say that Jesus our Lord and Savior is the Vine (plant) in the vineyard. We (you and I) are the branches on the Vine. God our Heavenly Father is the one that tends and nurtures the vineyard where the Vine is growing.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that –  There is a direct connection that must exist between us – the Vine and the Vine dresser. We are to be connected to the Tri-une God. We are expected to have a connection with our Heavenly Father – the creator of the universe. We are expected to have a connection with our Savior Jesus Christ. We are expected to have a connection with the Holy Spirit – Spirit of truth  & our comforter.

Basically, God connection is that link that must exist between us and the Trinity. It is that relationship we must have with the lover of our soul. It’s that constant contact we must have with our Redeemer. God connection is the kingdom walk we need to continue develop on a daily basis

So my dear! for us to delight in God and see our desires granted unto us — we must be divinely connected to God. May the grace to seek this “God connection” be released unto us in Jesus Name. Amen!

G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T = “God connection”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 20th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His loving-kindness that never fails. Faithful is He who has promised, He will definitely do it! Praise God…Hallelujah!

As we been saying “connections” i.e. people we are connected to really does matter. The people we spend time with have a part to play in whether we fulfill the divine plan of God for our life. The people we allow in our circle of friends have a big role to play in our life.

For the next couple of weeks, let’s go a step further looking at “connections” as we start with the G in D.E.L.I.G.H.T{God connection}: to understand delight in relation to our “connection with God”. We will look at topics such as: What does it mean to be connected? Why do we need to be connected? When do we need to be connected? How can we be connected? Who do we need to be connected to? Example of people in the bible who were connected… etcetera

My dear! As we start this series – let’s meditate on the psalm of David, titled: “Wishing to Be Near God” (Chap 63 vs. 1 to 8), which he wrote when he was in the desert of Judah

1 God, you are my God. I search for you. I thirst for you like someone in a dry, empty land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the Temple and have seen your strength and glory. 3 Because your love is better than life,      I will praise you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live. I will lift up my hands in prayer to your name. 5 I will be content as if I had eaten the best foods. My lips will sing, and my mouth will praise you. 6 I remember you while I’m lying in bed; I think about you through the night. 7 You are my help. Because of your protection, I sing. 8 I stay close to you; you support me with your right hand (NCV)

This scripture gives a vivid description of David’s consuming passion for His Lord. David described the kind of thirsting and yearning he has for the Lord as someone in a dry and empty desert who needs water. And every other pursuit in his life is nothing when compared to the fulfillment of an intimate relationship with God.

My dear! The truth of the Word coming to us this new day is that: We need “God connection” in our life!.. we need to be connected to God. We will never experience satisfaction until we discover the joy of devotion to the only One who can fill our emptiness. We will never be content in life until our spirit, soul & body is aligned with God (Tri-une God) and the things of the Kingdom.

As we continue with this series –  My prayer is that we will take time to develop our “God connection” even as we develop our “people connections”.

Enjoy this divine connection season!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

IAmAFriendOfGod!!

Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 17th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. The scripture in the book of James 2:33 comes to mind… where Abraham was referred to as God’s friend because He believed God..

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of the song: “I am a friend of God” by Israel Houghton –  and take time to meditate on the scripture in the book of  John 15:15 which says: I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now I am calling you my FRIENDS….

My dear! as we go into this weekend – let’s rejoice and be glad knowing that: God is mind-ful of us… God hears us when we call… God is thinking of us… God loves us… God calls us friends!!

Go ahead and declare: IAmAFriendOfGod!! and enjoy a blessed and highly favored weekend!

God bless,

Temidayo

Under the influence – Company of elders..

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 16th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}— looking at the biblical view of a company. Another scripture is Psalms 107:32, which says: Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the COMPANY of the ELDERS. Barnes Notes Bible Commentary on the phrase – “Company of elders” says: The old men; the men eminent for experience and wisdom. Those who have been appointed to preside over the assemblies for worship, and to direct the devotions of the people because of their experience.

Another company that the bible recognizes is the “company of elders”…this doesn’t necessarily mean the old people. But refers to the company of those with great wisdom and knowledge. The company of those who have had numerous experiences in life. The company of those that have great knowledge of some specific areas of life.

So my dear! the Word to us today is that – we must seek the company of people that have more knowledge & experience in a particular area than we do. We must seek the company of those can influence and motivate us to fulfill the divine purpose of God.

For example, if we want to start a business, we must seek the company of someone who we know is successful in this area. If we want a blissful marriage relationship, we must seek the company of those who we can see have a successful marriage. If we desire a better spiritual walk, we must seek company of a more matured person in faith or attend a church where we know there are opportunities to grow in the things of the kingdom. If we want to have “core” (close) friends then, we must seek company of those who exhibit the characteristics of a good friend.

May God help us as we seek the right kind of company to influence us on this journey of life. May the company we have help us as we seek to fulfill the divine plan & purpose of God for our life this year in Jesus name.. Amen!

Have a good day/time with your ‘company of elders!

Under the influence – Company of the righteous..

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 15th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still on I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence} – yesterday, we started looking at biblical view of  “company”. Another scripture is Psalms 14:5, which says: 5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. (NIV). The here is saying: God is in the midst of those who are righteous. God’s gracious presence with them to help them in their weaknesses. God is with the righteous to guide them against their enemies: and fills their enemies with dread and terror. As we think about the company of righteous people, let’s remember that our righteousness (i.e. our right standing) is by faith in Christ Jesus our Savior.

Another company that is recognized in the bible is the: “Company of the righteous”… the company of those that are in right standing with God. The company of those who strive to do and live right. The company of those who live an uncompromising life. The company of those who obey God. The company of those who strive to live a holy life. The company of good people. The company of those who are striving to please God with their life.

So my dear! as we seek to delight in God — let’s seek to be in the company of the righteous — those that will influence others with their godly lifestyle.

Let’s continue this new day by thinking of ways we can influence those around us by our lifestyle.

Enjoy an influential day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – Company of the great…

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 14th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

We have been taking about I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, company & circle of friends are very important to our success in life. For the next couple of day, I want us to take this a step further and look at the biblical view of a “company”. Psalm 68:11 says – The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it (NKJV). The scripture here is saying: Great and blessed is the company of those who proclaim the Word that God has spoken.

So my dear! the first company of people that is recognized in the scripture is the “Company of those who take time to influence others… by proclaiming the Word of God. The company of those who will take time to share the good news of the gospel with others. The company of those who will take time to share their testimony with others. The company of those who will declare the goodness of the Lord. The company of those that will take time to tell of the miraculous power of God. The company of those who will take time to tell someone how God saved them.

My prayer today is that as we seek to delight and please God with life – May we seek to be in the company of the “great” ones: those who influence other by taking time to proclaim the Word of God on a regular basis .

As we go into this new day, let’s make the effort to share our story… the testimony of what has done with someone.

Enjoy a great testimony day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – Circle of friends

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday, the 13th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Still looking at I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. Recently, I came across a note in the “Quest Study Bible (fully revised) NIV on Proverbs 17:17 –  A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity – titled: How can I know who my friends are?

One way is a test of loyalty. A genuine friend loves us through the best and the worst times. In fact, a friend’s true colors are revealed when you go through unusually difficult or painful circumstances. According to the Proverbs it’s preferable to have one or two close, intimate companions than a host of superficial acquaintances. The person who maintains only surface relationships with a wide number of people may eventually face a ruin for lack of good advice when it is really needed (18:24).

True friends also wound us. They are willing to tell us the hard truth even when it hurts. We can trust their honest feedback, but an enemy only multiplies kisses (27:6). Beware of someone who does not have the courage to confront you when you need it.

Some people make poor friends – those who will entice you to join them in crime, for example (1:10-19). Drunkards and gluttons are also on the list of people to avoid (23:20-21). Less dangerous, but none the less similarly unreliable, are those drawn to us because of our material possessions or wealth. When financial hardship strikes, they disappear (19:4,7). Also gossips should be shunned. Their habit of sharing inappropriate and private matters inevitably separates close friends (16:28)….(Note: all referenced verses are in the Proverbs )

So my dear! As we continue to seek to delight in God — Let’s look at our circle of friends… people we have around us and evaluate the kind of influence we are having on each other.

Enjoy a “friend-ly” day & week!

Loving Regards,

Temi

I smile!!

Hey TGIFriday!!

Thank God for today, Friday the 10th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

As we continue to D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence} and wait on God for our heart desires to be granted – let’s change our facial expression and smileJ, as Job says in Job 9:27…If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile – Even if I say, ‘I’ll put all this behind me, I’ll look on the bright side and force a smile – If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad countenance, and be of good cheer and brighten up –  Even though I say, ‘I will forget my complaint; I will change the look on my face and smile

Be blessed as you listen to the lyrics of the song: “I smile” by Kirk Franklin –

My dear! as we go into this weekend – Let’s smile… in spite of how we feel. Let’s smile … in spite of what the enemy is throwing at us. Let’s smile… no matter how things look around us. Let’s smile… because it’s a new day, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it.

Go ahead and smile…JJJ!!!

Enjoy a blessed and highly favored weekend!

Under the influence – “Core”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday, the 9th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah! We have been taking about I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence}: how our connections, contacts, and the company we keep are very important to our success in life. Today let’s continue this series by evaluating some characteristics of a good friend using the scripture in the book of John 15: 12-17: This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father. “You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you. “But remember the root command: Love one another!! (MSG)The characteristics of a good friend identified in this scripture are listed below– ·         Love (vs.12): Love each other at equal level. Love is reciprocal. Love at all times.

·         Sacrifice (vs13): Sacrifice for each other. Serve each other at the same level. Give up your time & resources.

·         Obedience (vs14): Obey each other… try to please and make each other happy by doing what we say.

·         Equality (vs15): On the same level…same place of maturity. Able to see things same way…can agree to disagree.

·         Trust (vs16): Trust each other…knows each other’s heart/motives. Shares everything. Able to speak up for each other…can vouch for each other.

Note: These xteristics of good friends are extracted from the message titled “In Us” by Pastor Andy Thompson – www.wocconline.org

My dear! let’s take time to reflect on these characteristics and examine our circle of friends and identify who our core friends are. Also, let’s examine ourselves to see if we are really a “core” friend to someone or just part of the number.

As we continue in this season — may God grant us the grace we need to know who our true friends are and for us to also seek to be a true friend to someone — as the bible says: A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Prov. 18;24)

Remember to spend time with your “core” today…J!

Under the influence – “Company”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Wednesday, the 8th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah

Continuing with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T –{Influence in relation to delighting in God}. Yesterday we took some time to ask ourselves some questions about our contacts – how we need to think about the contacts we have in our social network and what kind of influence we have on each other.

Still thinking about this, the scripture in the book of 1 Corinthians 15:33 comes to mind: Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character. The scripture is saying: Evil companionship /association/communion & bad friends will eventually corrupt good character/manners/morals/habits.

A Bible commentary explains this verse using this proverb:There were two dry logs of wood, and one green log; but the dry logs burnt up the green log” which means: he who frequents the company of bad or corrupt men will soon be as they are. He may be sound in the faith, and have the life and power of godliness, and at first frequent their company only for the sake of their pleasing conversation, or their literary accomplishments: and he may think his faith proof against their infidelity; but he will soon find, by means of their glozing speeches, his faith weakened; and when once he gets under the empire of doubt, unbelief will soon prevail; his bad company will corrupt his morals; and the two dry logs will soon burn up the green one.

The Word coming to us today is that under the influence… the company we keep is very important. The people we hang out with will either “make or mare” us. The company we keep is instrumental to how much we will achieve in life. The company we keep can affect how faithfully we serve God. As someone once said: “If you drop a white glove in the mud…the mud doesn’t become ‘glovey’…the glove becomes muddy”.

So my dear! As we continue in this new day — let’s be very conscious of the company we keep cos it’s just a matter of time before a good character is corrupted with the “virus” of bad company/spiritual compromise.

Have a gr8 day and enjoy ur gud company!

Under the influence – “Contacts”

Hey Dear,

Thank God for today, Tuesday, the 7th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah

Continuing with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – yesterday we looked at the 1st chapter of the book of Luke 1..verses 39 to 45 –and we said under the influence… there must be good connection. That we must understand the importance of good connections. We must understand that making the right kind of connections can help us achieve more in life. With this in mind — I thought about all the different social networking and instant messaging systems we have around us. The list is unending – but will mention a few of the common ones: Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, hi5, MyYearBook, BlackBerry Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp, Yahoo! 360, Windows Live, Google, Gmail, Flickr, ReverbNation, YouTube… (feel free to add your other favs).

As we go through this list, I want us to ask ourselves some questions: Who are my contacts? Who are the people in my network of friends? Who are the people I communicate with on a daily basis? Then let’s ask ourselves: Are my contacts contributing to me? Are my contacts bringing something good out of me? Is the time spent with my contacts worth it? Finally, let’s ask ourselves: Am I contributing in any way to my contacts? Is my conversation helping to make a difference in their life? Am I having a positive influence on my contacts?

As we take time to think through these questions and others that might come to mind — I pray that the Holy Spirit will grant us the grace to understand those connections & contacts that we need to keep and the wisdom to deal with those that we know are not worth the resource & time we give to this.

My dear! I know this is personal… so I believe as we continue under the influence of the Holy Spirit – He will guides everyone of us and we will make those necessary connections and keep the right contacts.

Have a great networking day!!

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

Under the influence – “Connection”

Hi Dear,

Thank God for today, Monday the 6th Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Now let’s continue with the I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – by looking further at the story of Mary, Elizabeth & Zechariah in the 1st chapter of the book of Luke. In verses 39 to 45: the bible gives account of the visit Mary made to Elizabeth’s home.. after she was told by the angel that Elizabeth whom the people called barren was also pregnant as nothing is impossible with God. So she rushed off to Elizabeth’s house to congratulate her about this good news. But I also think the visit was with the intention of establishing a connection with her because of what the Holy Spirit had in the preceding verses about Elizabeth’s miraculous pregnancy. Mary went over to make a connection with someone else whom the bible says was pregnant by the supernatural power of God. She went over to connect with someone who was going to give birth to the promise of God (man of God). Mary understood the importance of connecting with someone with the same story. She understood the power in connecting with someone under the divine favor of God.

My dear! The Word coming to us today is that – Under the influence, connection is important. We must understand that a good connection is important in order to bring to birth God’s promises. We must understand the power that comes from connecting with like-minded people. We must understand the power in connecting with the right people. We must understand the importance of connecting with the helpers of our destiny. We must understand the power in connecting with those who understand our story. We must understand the importance of connecting with someone more experienced than us. We must understand the power that is in godly connection.

My prayer as we continue this month of June is that God will grant us the grace we need to understand the connections we need to make in order to see the promises of God come to pass in our life.

Go ahead and make those divine “connections” and see things fall in pleasant places for you.

Loving Regards,

Temidayo

In June: Keep on keeping on…

Hey dear,

Thank God for today, Thursday the 2nd Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Before we continue I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – let’s take time to commit this 6th month of the year into the hands of God. Still thinking about number 6 (month of June) in light of 6 being referred to as the number of man in relation to human labor & secular completeness. – another scripture that comes to mind is the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 18: 41 -46:  41 Elijah said to Ahab, “Up on your feet! Eat and drink–celebrate! Rain is on the way; I hear it coming.”   42 Ahab did it: got up and ate and drank. Meanwhile, Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bowed deeply in prayer, his face between his knees. 43 Then he said to his young servant, “On your feet now! Look toward the sea.” He went, looked, and reported back, “I don’t see a thing.” “Keep looking,” said Elijah, “seven times if necessary.”   44  And sure enough, the seventh time he said, “Oh yes, a cloud! But very small, no bigger than someone’s hand, rising out of the sea.”   “Quickly then, on your way. Tell Ahab, “Saddle up and get down from the mountain before the rain stops you.'” 45 Things happened fast. The sky grew black with wind-driven clouds, and then a huge cloudburst of rain, with Ahab hightailing it in his chariot for Jezreel
From this story we see that the servant didn’t give up even after going for 1st, 2nd 3rd 4th, 5th, 6th time … and it seemed like nothing was forth coming. He kept going until he saw the cloud. Also, all the report the servant was bringing to Elijah didn’t make him get up from his position of prayer, but he kept praying until the rain came.
The Word of God coming to us this month of June is that: We must keep on keeping on… because there is indeed the sound of the abundance of rain (the rain of blessing is coming). We might not see it at moment but as long as we keep believing and keep acting in faith, the rain will definitely fail.
My dear! As we keep doing what we are doing, we will definitely reap the harvest if we don’t fail. As we keep sowing the seed of good works, we will eventually reap the great harvest in due time As we keep trying, the rain of blessing will eventually fall over us. As we keep at what God has called us to do, then we will eventually see a great results. As we keep praying, that breakthrough will definitely come at the appointed time. As we keep on believing what God has said in His Word, then be rest assured we will see the fulfillment of His Word in our life. As we keep at it, the rain of blessing will definitely fall upon every area of our life which seems to be experiencing drought.
Be blessed as you continue in this great month, remember “keep on keeping on” — Don’t be weary! Don’t give up!! because the cloud is forming and the rain of blessing is about to fall.

My prayer today is that God will grant us the grace to keep at it — to keep on keeping on– in Jesus name. Amen!!

Loving Regards,
Temidayo

In June: Labor Again…

Hey dear, Happy New Month!!

Thank God for today, Wednesday the 1st Day of June 2011 – a day that the Lord has made so let’s begin this new day by rejoicing in the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness! Praise God…Hallelujah!

Before we continue I in D.E.L.I.G.H.T – {Influence in relation to delighting in God} – let’s take time to commit this 6th month of the year into the hands of God.

In Bible numerology, six is the number of man which is often used when referring to human labor & and secular completeness. The number six is also used when describing the constant battle between the spirit and flesh. Thinking about number 6 (month of June) in light of these definitions — the scripture that comes to mind is Galatians 4:19, which says: My little children, for whom I LABOR in birth AGAIN until Christ is formed in you, (NKJV) — My dear children, I am in pain for you. Once again I have pain like a woman giving birth. And my pain will continue until Christ makes you like himself. (NIRV).

From this scripture – we see Paul telling the people of Galatia that: He will labor again i.e. keep laboring until Christ is formed in them. He was going to keep travailing for them until something good is birth through their lives. Paul said he was suffer again for the people until they are permanently changed.
The Word of God coming to us this new month of June is that: It’s labor time — time to try again!!

My dear! The next 30 days is a time for us to travail again. Time for us to speak life to that dead situation again. Time for us to hope & trust in God again. Time for us to give of ourselves again. Time for us to believe the Word of God again. Time for us to forgive that person that has hurt us again. Time for us to try that business again. Time for us to fight a good fight of faith again. Time for us to re-visit the words spoken to us at the beginning of this year. Time for us to give a relationship a try again. Time for us to show love again. Time for us to study that difficult subject/course again.Time for us to do that examination again. Time for us to apply for that job again. Time for us to confess the Word of God about that difficult situation again. Time for us to labor again!!
As you continue in this month of June – May we not give up or be weary in well doing. May the Holy Spirit help us to “labor again”. May the Holy Spirit grant us the grace we need to try “again”.

Enjoy your “labor” season!
Loving Regards,
Temidayo
