And the winner is “you have beautiful lips”

A new survey just released shows that praising a woman on her lips is the best way to enter her heart. I hope the single African guys who need a little help in the romance department might add this to their pick up lines.

The site (badoo) which conducted the survey has 87 million registered users. The survey analyzed the success rates of opening lines from nearly 200,000 online flirtations in 11 languages.

The sites members were asked to use one of 12 different ice-breakers, each complimenting a woman on a characteristic of her body or appearance. Success was determined by 1) prompting any response and 2) launching a conversation.

And the winner is … “You have beautiful lips.”

Even though the beautiful lips compliment was successful across all countries, some compliments did better in some countries than others. For instance, for

  • American, Australian and Brazilian women: Tell her how beautifully she dresses.
  • Spaniards: Compliment her hair.
  • Germans and Canadians: Tell her her skin is perfect
  • If she’s Dutch or Portuguese, concentrate on the ears. According to the survey, they liked: “You have beautiful ears.”
  • Sweden – – – “You have a beautiful figure”
  • Poland: It’s all about the arms.  Just say “You have beautiful arms”

African women were not represented in the survey. In any case, if you’re not sure what the woman will appreciate most, just stick to the lips; it works for all of them. It will surely work for the African woman.

If you want to graciously share your personal experience with African women, the space below is yours. Go ahead.[ad#Adsense-200by200sq]

  1. I also agree with what felicia said. You just have to be careful when and how you say it. I know a frend who slep in the couch for one week because she said finds another attractive.

  2. I think the answer is simple. If you’re a man, don’t de scared to tell your wife or partner what you want. She may not always accept it, but there’re be a time when she’ll begin to absorb that. If you find a picture of on magazine cover you like, say something like ‘i like the style of the gurl on the cover’ or something like ‘that gurl looks great in that lip gloss’. You patner may initially be jealous, but never mind. She may end up doing it later on.

  3. BackPee, u can’t use ur personal single situation to describe all african women. I’ve seen women married for over 20 yrs w/3 0r 4 kids and hav not change in anyway. Taste for any fashion is part of any womans personality. if she’z not into it, u cn’t do nothin.

  4. Hi Bamba, Let me remind you that you’re married. You’re not boy friend and girl friend anymore. Most african women, at least from my personal experience, pay attention to those thins when they are dating or just …..
when they moment they marry it’s over. What _B is saying may produce some results, but I doubt. Hei, letme if it works, gud luck.

  5. @BAMBA……does your wife use anything on her lips when she has dry or crack lip?…..if she uses some kind of cream, compliment her positively even if she puts the smallest amount. do not fake it….say it like you really really mean it….believe me (we can tell when a guy is lying us).
You can also tell her…i think your lips are a bit dry, do you want to use that nice cream you used last time….say it very slowly with confidence(tone of voice here is very important).

Now. tell her you look different with that cream on your lips. With impulse, she will ask you ….how diff?…..then you say the magic words….nice and beautiful….with smile and eye contact…..

Then gradually you buy her lip gloss with a light pink color in it….she is your wife…..if you like it she will like it too….try these steps…….hope it come out well…..Good Luck Sir

  6. my problem is how do I get my wife to use any makeup on her lips. I don’t know the main reason but I guess because of religious belief she doesn’t believe in those things. I like it and all the time I check out other ladies who wear. I bought something for her on anniversary but it backfired? How can I really get her to use something on her lips?

  7. If they guys it and he really means it, then good.If he says it because he thinks I’ll like it, then I’m not for that. I can see from a guys mouth when he’s just saying something to get something and when he means it.

In any case, the survey is not surprising. I think any girl of today who doesn’t see her lips as a great part of her personality just doesn’t get it. I pamper it, & it’s not because I want nobody to talk about it. It’s just part of me.

  8. this is really interesting. I’m saying so becos almost all guys like women with well kept lips to. So I’m surprised the woman also like that as the best compliment. Then theres no problem. Just shine them, and we’ll talk about it. Simple.
